Does anyone know what the bolt pattern and offset are for the Tesla S?
I'm sure that there are a few techs at Tesla who know but no one else at this point.

Just wanted toknow if my existing Winter Tires wheels will fit.
I doubt using another maker's wheels is possible, or sane. The brakes and regen would be a problem, to start with. I think.

From the wheel's perspective, regen and brake are the same thing, and both are independent from the rim, which carries the tire. Have you ever changed wheels on a car, or at least looked over someone's shoulder to see the junction between the rim and the axle? The wheel hub, that the rim is bolted to, is part of the axle and carries the brake. The regen happens even further inside, in the electric motor itself that drives, or in case of regen is driven by, the axle (via gearbox and drive shaft).
We're not going to know f a while yet, but I bet they stick with the Mercedes wheel spec. If so, that'll be good news for alternate wheel selection. Unless they go crazy on pricing, I'll probably buy the Winter wheel/tire package that Tesla is sure to have as an accessory.
I think it would be very stupid for Tesla to not use some established standard for bolt patterns. Tesla is not wheel producer so it is just smart for them to use already existing rim types.

So maybe it would work. Does any mfr use staggered/unevenly spaced bolts, etc.? That would frustrate swapping.

The Roadster has a unique bolt pattern, which isn't compatible with wheels made for Lotus or any other car.

Yes Timo, we can only hope. Not a deal killer, but it would be an annoyance.
With those prices there will be soon suitable rims in the aftermarket where I will place my intrest. 3 500 for set is a rip-off since that seems to be price for replacing 19 inch set.
Second thing, about TM open politics. It seems to create a lot on discussion about minor details, some people tell that some itty-gritty thing is a "deal breaker". Hey, come on. Get real and have a look for the big picture! TM is proving the biggest amount of information by wide margin to any other OEM with their future models. And still some people are complaining why they do not publisize their rim specs?!? Are you expecting TM to build EV's or run a media company? Let TM do their job and deliver when ready.
I know this is an old thread, but it comes up in Tesla bolt pattern search. The model S is 5 X 120 with 35mm offset.
5 X 120 and offset depends on the Wheels.
Look in the manual on screen, it has these specs lilsted
SvC told me newer models have different bolt and lug sizes from earlier models. 21mm lugs on older/ 22mm lugs on newer. Not sure about bolt size or pattern.
