Almost there!!!

Almost there!!!

I got an updated status on my page this morning!

Production Complete

Your Model S is being prepared for pickup or delivery.

I emailed my sales rep to see if there was a chance that the car would be ready for pick up before the agreed upon date of the 31st.

I can see the finish line! Now I want to sprint!!!!

Where are you located? I have a 7/31 delivery, but still shows as building.

I am in Seattle, what is your VIN number? Mine was locked in on 6/26 VIN 16080

bpo | July 22, 2013

@emoflash, I know what you mean. My status changed to the same as yours this morning too. I'm scheduled for delivery in Bellevue on 7/26. I've been able to keep myself calm up to now, but it gets harder every day. :)

Hate to tell you guys but it can still get worse. I got the email from my DS today telling me that he needs to know my availability from Thursday to Monday.

My nearest service center is St. Louis and I'm in Kansas City so he'll get the car first, prepare it for delivery, and then have it shipped to me. My car will likely be driven through KC tomorrow on its way to St. Louis. Maybe I'll stake out I-70 so I can wave at it.

Once the car is re-shipped to me it just depends how quickly it gets here based on how many other cars they're delivering. I could get it Thursday or I could get it Monday. Now that really sucks!

I'm vin 15660 and still showing in production. Doe that make any sense? Although my DS is still saying that the car should be in Texas on Saturday. Possible?

Status messages are only barely non-random, it seems.

Went from "sourcing parts" to "The Tesla factory is building your model s" last Thursday.
Vin 16439 due in August.
Looks like I am on track

Picking up my new baby this Friday at 1pm!!

ltowens | July 23, 2013

My order went to "building your model S" last Friday (19th) - VIN P16159 for August delivery in Atlanta.

How long does it take to get to "production complete"?

ltowens | August 4, 2013

Well, I answered my own question... my order went "Production Complete" on August 1st (finalized the order 06/27/13). On 7/31/13 I was given a delivery date (Aug 15th) and the opportunity to pay for the car. Did that online, and signed some documents online using Docusign.

On Aug 1st, I received 2 FEDEX envelopes, one containing the title and the other containing some docs to sign and return for certificate or origin (return FEDEX envelope supplied). (Once I get that I'll be able to apply for my license plate)

My delivery specialist indicated that the car may arrive here in Georgia early, and if that happens they'll let me know and schedule a new date to pick up the car at the local service center, otherwise it will be 8/15.
