How to find the superchargers, please add your helpful directions here

For people who have problem finding the superchargers, please plan ahead of time, look at for example, or on this forum, people who have been there described where the superchargers are so you don't have to drive in circles! There are photos of the superchargers at all locations, and directions which are helpful.

Gilroy, next to Sony store,, the pin is not in the exact location, but the SC's are at the end of that building is the Sony Store, go down and around the building from where the pin is when looking at the satellite map.

Harris Ranch, at the Shell Gas station on the east side of Hwy 5, the pin on the map is in the correct location

Tejon Ranch, next to Yogurtland (this one is the photo they showed in the announcement) the pin on the map is in the correct location

Hawthorne, near Tesla Design Center, look for the rocket! the pin on the map is NOT the correct location, you turn from Crenshaw onto Jack Northrop and turn north on the first driveway, you should see a Tesla sign on the driveway, you will feel like you are driving in some backlot, but the rocket is pretty easy to spot once you go down that driveway. I think the satellite map is out of date, so I can't spot the exact location on it.

Barstow, next to Chili's, look at the map, it is showing the correct location

Have not been to Folsom yet.

I compiled my notes on locations from various sources along with other charging info at (other reference cards, spreadsheets at )

I would suggest that this need could be filled by the first "app" that Tesla should release for the vehicle, the 'Tesla Supercharger Manager' app. Functions could include:

1) Located Superchargers
2) Determining Supercharger status
3) Pics of Supercharger for reference
4) History of specific Supercharger use
5) Recommended specific Supercharger use based on location/status
6) Complementary features on iPhone/Android Tesla app

This could avoid the "Broder Supercharger Approach" technique of circling the unseen charger for 10 to 15 minutes while already at Zero miles of range.

Wouldn't have helped Broder. "None so blind as those who don't want to see."

I had this issue with barstow, but someone on another thread gave this tip, so I'll pass it on here...
Talk to the car.
Just say, "navigate to supercharger barstow california" It will put a pin right on the spot! I tried it a few days ago and it worked awesome!
When I made my trip I was still 4.0 and the car had no idea what a SC was. But the 4.2 update fixes that, and it knows all the SC locations in the NAV.
It just keeps getting better!
