I'm So Excited. Need Drugs. Help!

Delivery is within days. Can't stop obsessing about my new Tesla. Trying to focus my Qi but nothing is working. Went to yoga...deep breath in.....exhale....Tesssslaaa. Took another Xanax, not a dent. Nice Sativa......could not stop talking about Tesla. Rolled a big Indica fatty.......could not stop staring at the photo of my Model S. Any other suggestions?

Anthony J. Parisio | August 31, 2014

Try making A Model S cake, like on "Cake Boos". ;-)

Bighorn | August 31, 2014

Sex or rock and roll?

kenj | August 31, 2014

Binge watch the delivery video .....

PhillyGal | August 31, 2014

I'm excited just reading your post - draw a fish bone diagram to get to the root cause of how/why you were able to treat yourself to such an amazing specimen.

If you're that crazed now, then think about this: the car you're getting in a few days will be even better in the future as Tesla High Command beams future updates to you!

Welcome to the club, what you are experiencing is called Teslanxiety. Its signal that the Tesla mothership is sending to you. Ride the wave, embrace the feeling, it only gets better when you get behind the wheel.

Don't take any drugs, it will simply dampen your condition.

Captain_Zap | August 31, 2014

Try a hybrid. I don't mean car either. ;-)

Live music is a great diversion! Here is the tour schedule:

Nitrous oxide (laughing gas) will do wonders!

Congrats. Best of luck with your new car.

It's like 6 of the very best Xmas' all at once when you were 5. Embrace the feeling and excitement. Might not come around too again soon.

easydjr | August 31, 2014

The drug is coming. It's called a Model S. Patience.

iTesla | August 31, 2014

It's probably too late, but do you have a pair of Depends? Enjoy the car and let us know how it goes with your delivery.

MY SENTIMENTS EXACTLY. I LEFT XMAS OUT ON PURPOSE. THIS IS A MULTI-CULTURAL FORUM. THAT SAID SPOT ON!! THAT'S HOW I FEEL!

It's funny how the delay and missed delivery date became an affirming experience for me. Sure, Brand T stumbled by in their recovery I learned what a solid company it is and somehow that has made the waiting easier. I'll get back to you in a couple of weeks when I'm twitching in a corner.

Kpg81 | September 1, 2014

Everytime I order or prepare to purchase a new vehicle I do the same thing! That's one of the best parts of the process in my opinion!

You know what they say, "this too shall pass" and before you know it, you will be driving it and all this time spent waiting will not have mattered and you will be on to the next thing you want that makes you wait like a kid on Christmas Eve.. Because... Feeling like that makes us feel young again :)

JAD | September 1, 2014

There is no cure! Once you get the car you obsess over driving, telling your friends about it, supercharging, then you start thinking about software upgrades, will version 6 arrive in two weeks? What features? What are they talking about on the forum today? Help!

Rheumboy | September 1, 2014

Don't take the drugs! Send them to me.

My email is mathew98@gethigh.com

karmamule | September 1, 2014

@kpg1981 Yes, exactly right! Soon this time will be a fond memory, but with luck we'll be even fonder of the Teslas we're driving. :)

@akikiki, I prefer to call it Teslanticipation!

Brian H | September 1, 2014

The greater the agony of the Wait, the greater the relief when it ends. That is so addictive, you start to look for something new to Wait for. With no new Waits, life would become dull and blasé. Tesla knows this, and so makes sure there is always a new Wait in the works. Thank Elon for always making you Wait!!

Tesla-David | September 1, 2014

Congratulations, Many of us went through a similar agony, but I can say that after 21 months of ownership, it was definitely worth the anxiety and anticipation. I was not disappointed, and hope you feel the same when you take delivery. Let us know how you feel after you get your MS.

SamO | September 1, 2014

Soon . . .

karmamule | September 1, 2014

@Brian H Hah, very true. I suppose after I actually take delivery of my S85 the next wait can be for 6.0!

P85D | September 1, 2014

it's so exciting until you get the first payment bill lol.

Captain_Zap | September 1, 2014

There is one thing worse than a big car payment.

That is making a car payment for a car you are not that excited about.

I don't mind my payment at all. I didn't have that feeling with some of the cars I've bought.

Sully | September 1, 2014

lol @PhillyGal and fish bone diagram!!!

Brian H | September 2, 2014

Also called "Ishikawa diagrams" for those not familiar.

fernfollman4d3 | March 31, 2020

Agreed, tesla is better than any drugs!
