Why no search function?

Why no search function?

Why the hell isn't there a search function on the Tesla forum? Without it, you are ensuring that there will be duplicative questions because a user can't know that his question may have already been answered.

@Andretti,
I think you're better off at the TMC forums.
This forum offers a lot of enthusiasm, discussion, and good insights - but is not the best forum in terms of features.

No built-in search function, but you can still search the forum. Read this: https://teslatap.com/articles/owners-manual-companion/#search

If you're using Chrome, I made a free browser extension that adds various search options right into each forum page. The TeslaTap Assistant Pro (TTAP) has a lot of other features that enhance the forum by highlighting posters, detect spam and more. See screenshot examples and more details here: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/teslatap-assistant-pro/iafcefg...

If you search through Google it will take you straight to the thread you are looking for. At least that’s what I’ve been doing and it works every time.

Changes are coming. I will leave it at that.

@Andretti: did you see my reply to your bike rack question? (https://forums.tesla.com/forum/forums/bike-rack-6) It contained instructions for how to search.

Yes, this is a feature-poor forum. But, damn, we sure do all love one another here!

The one thing that is constant is change.

Change is nigh!

:)) ok

If anyone who can do anything about it is listening, my 'wish list' is a SEARCH feature, the ability to group my own posts so I can see who responded to them and the ability to REPLY to someone's post right underneath it.

+1

-@TeslaTap.com - Thanks for developing and sharing your Chrome search tool.

While I don't have a link to it, there is also a Google filter you can use to "Ignore" certain posters by screen name. Someone will provide it for you, I'm sure.
