Adaptive Cruise Control - subsystem supplier question

Adaptive Cruise Control - subsystem supplier question

Does any one know what subsystems suplier Tesla tends to favor in the Roadster? I assume for a complex system like adaptive cruise control they would be leveraging/integrating a system from Delphi, TRW or others rather than doing in house development for ACC in the Model S. I'd like to see what features the various OEM systems provide (e.g. support for stop and go traffic (full stop), lane departure warning, collision prevention) and wanted to focus on those with existing Tesla partnership.

I'm of the opinion that they'd have to build their own. I'm not at all sure that existing ICE systems like that can be grafted into an EV.

Good question. Maybe ask in the Roadster forum and post the answer here if you get one.
