Corded Mobile Connector at 120v

Corded Mobile Connector at 120v

My Gen 1 charger went bad and the Tesla service exchanged it for a Gen 2 Mobile Connector. I found that charging is now limited to 32a but the Corded Mobile Connector will charge at 40a like my Gen 1 charger. However, the Corded Mobile Connector no longer has an adapter for using a standard 120v outlet, which I have used on the road when I park at a motel and they have an outside 120v outlet. Can I use a NEMA 14-50 to 120v standard adapter on the Corded Mobile Connector to get back the functionality of my Gen 1 charger? Or is the Corded Mobile Connector only for 240v?

Tesla sells adapters for the G2 mobile connector. I've used the NEMA 5-15 and 5-20 on 120v. And 14-50 on 240v. But I dialed down the 14-30 to 24A.
