Tesla Motors today announced the hiring of Aston Martin's chief engineer to become Tesla's VP of engineering: http://ir.teslamotors.com/releasedetail.cfm?ReleaseID=762317
He is chosen because he seems to have the qualities which are required for Tesla Motors to reach it's future goals.
Smart guy! He knows where the future is... Wonder if he drives a P85 these days?
i hope can hire me:(((
I think many of us would love to work for Tesla...
"Wonder if he drives a P85 these days?"
I wonder if he's been given a P+ for signing on.
Sure, maybe... A great signing bonus!
If I was the CEO of a large multinational I would provide P85s to my best managers as a perk. You have to motivate your best people right?
I attended a delivery in Canada, and John has delivered over 200 here, but doesn't have one himself. He agrees he should get one as a perk! :)
Leadership by example, every Tesla executive should be driving a Roadster or Model S, employees should be able to put aside a portion of their paycheck to 'save up' for a Model S then be able to buy one at cost. It is not just esprit de corps but a legitimate marketing tool...
Preferred employee parking with chargers for employees driving a Model S or Roadster to work.

He did a great job delivering our car. We could all chip in and spare some change to get Jon a new ride. :-)
