Disappointed with Jeda

Has anyone else experienced lousy customer service and delayed shipping from Jeda? When I first ordered their wireless charging pad, they billed my credit card immediately, but didn't ship the item for about a month. If I hadn't leaned my lesson, I ordered their USB hub two weeks ago and was also charged immediately. Today, I learned that this item will not ship until the end of August. What's up with this??

High demand, new product, homegrown company. I ordered the pad last year and the usb hub last month too, don’t mind the wait. It looks like a useful, good quality product.

Taptes is about the same. They charge when ordered and it looks like they build to order and things take a while to ship. Low prices, good quality, good customer service on returns.

I thought it was pretty clear during ordering of the USB hub that they weren't shipping until this month. Mine is supposed to ship next week.

Yep, super clear that they said August they start shipping… So there shouldn’t be any surprises. Mine ships next week too. Got a Samsung T5 SSD for Sentry. Fits perfectly inside the Jeda hub.

I've experienced slow/late shipping. Customer service was responsive via email within 24 hrs.

I do like the charger.

I think they ship once a month on the 15th. Product is working great and worth the wait. Also search for an online coupon, I found one for 10 bucks which dropped the price to $89.

Hmmm ... my Taptes order for their wireless charger was not an issue from them. It just took a while to get the shipment here, through customs, etc.

Their customer service is excellent, by the way.

Jeda clearly said they hub would ship in August, so I'm not sure what you're upset about. Furthermore there is no law requiring the seller to wait until shipment to charge your credit card. Although some credit card issuers prohibit the practice, they generally won't take action as long as the seller meets the promised timeframe for shipment. If you're unhappy, contact Jeda and cancel your order. In my experience, Jeda customer service has been very responsive, particularly for such a small, homegrown company.

Customer service was fair. But the charging pad interfered with FM radio reception so I returned it.

@sadwith, huh? Had my Jeda pad for over a year, no FM reception issues, how is that happening? Don’t see how a Qi charger can interfere with a that a thing?

Received the update email stating orders were shipping. Mine was supposed to ship out last week per the last few digits of my order # however I never received a confirmation. I emailed them to get an update. Last time I ordered the 1st generation charging pad and it took forever. Customer service is average at best. The only reason I order from them is their products are awesome and worth the wait.

So this is *slightly* irrelevant to the post here--but I was so excited to get a Jeda that I bought a brand new in box Jeda 2 (the newer updated version) from Offerup and installed it (easily) to my Model 3. Upon using it for a week, with a brand new Iphone XS, I have noticed it takes FOREVER to charge. The ease of charging and lack of need for cables is great, but it's basically a destination charger for your phone, vs a "supercharger" being a regular phone charging cable. Just an opinion for anyone looking to buy one!

Yep, horrible customer service. I've been attempting to get an update on my replacement pad after sending in my defective one. Haven't been able to get a response for over 2 months now - I've written 6 emails asking for an update and one just asking if anyone reads the support email address. Apparently nobody does.

Taptes doesn't have the wireless hub, otherwise I'd have thought about it too. I ordered the wireless hub in August as well and it didn't ship in the 3 weeks promised. I finally reached out and they sent an e-mail saying they figured out something was wrong in the shipment they were about to do so they halted shipments and things will likely ship in late September instead. I'll reserve further judgement until I get the Hub but it's not a great first impression from the onset about not keeping customers updated on the shipping delay.

I ordered my usb hub the first day of preorders and got it towards the end of August. They did state they wouldn’t start shipping until the first week of August. My order number fell for the second week but was delayed another 1 1/2 weeks. Yes there customer service is lousy but the products are superior to anything out there. If you can wait it’s totally worth it. If not there are plenty of other choices for wireless chargers. The Nomad is good too.

I ordered the hub, spacer and wireless charger at the beginning of July, got charged immediately, and finally received a package last week on 3rd October.... unfortunately the package was missing the space and the charger! I've emailed them a couple of times and had zero response.

I’ve honesty had great service from them. Regular updates by email. My wireless charger from last year still works great. I got the hub end of august and it’s solid.

@atjxl it took me about two months almost to get my product! I emailed them and never received an answers! I live on the East coast and they are in CA so I picked a convenient time when they were closed and sent them the same email for 2 hours over and over again. I guess they got mad at the hundreds of emails because they responded right after opening hours with a tracking number

Happy with the product or not, their customer service is terrible and their website is pretty deceiving in the fact that it did not show that their product was backordered and you had to find out about it in the round about way of going to their shipping section to see the fine print. I won't order anything else from them and would HIGHLY recommend anyone else thinking about it to way all the cons against the pros. Still waiting on my order from Dec 2 after receiving multiple emails that kept pushing the date back.

If it were any other etailer the customer would complain to the Better Business Bureau. I am not sure why Tesla should get a pass on deplorable service. For anyone else, this would be considered gross incompetence and perhaps illegal.

Standing up for your consumer rights will not only make you feel better, it will give Tesla the feedback it needs to make improvements.

Ordered USB HUB On Dec 2 and still haven't received it. They charged my credit card immediately. I am going to file a dispute with the credit card bank and get my money back. Beware of buying anything from this company.

They've been promoting it on Electrek site so they probably got a lot of orders. I ordered the hub months ago and mine came in a reasonable amount of time. The hub doesn't really add any security since it is easy to pull out. Adding the hard drive from samsung just gives car thieves more reason to steal it for the portable hard drive so I just used a mini sd card with a usb card adapter in it. Wish they had made it so it was at least screwed into something with tamper proof screws.

Lonestar10_1999...I think you are confused...Jeda is a 3rd party etailer selling charging solutions for Tesla cars. They are not linked in anyway to Tesla themselves.

Here's my JEDA experience. You may find this useful in setting your customer service expectations with this company.

1) On 12/10/19 I ordered a USB hub and was charged immediately for that USB hub.
2) I received an order confirmation email on 12/10 and then heard nothing till the next step.
3) On 1/10/20 I emailed JEDA about the status of my order.
4) On 1/13/20 I received an email from JEDA stating my order would ship this week and that I would receive an email with a tracking number when my order is shipped.
5) On 1/18/20 my USB hub was delivered by USPS. I never received an emailing with tracking info.
6) The hub fits like a glove and works as I expected, but it took 6 weeks and prompting on my side to know what was going on.

Initially, I thought I was having good support from Jeda when I contacted them about my slow charging v2 pad a few weeks ago. But after they had me go through the motions of troubleshooting it the problem they've gone ghost. I've been contacting them everyday asking them for an update and they have yet to respond. I've read posts of other users having a similar experience with them. Its really disappointing because of all the glowing reviews regarding their product. I will be filing a complaint against them with the BBB.

All I can add is the same experience... order now and money taken immediately... 3 months later I got the pad.

It worked great for about 7 months and now one side of the pad is dead.

Next time I’ll just order the Tesla one.

Opposite experience for me. I upgraded from v1 pad to V2. Git the 25% discount plus free spacer bar. Order to delivery less than 10 days. Pad works well on all 3 spots.

This thread made me wonder about Jeda, but I emailed them about USB hub availability and questions on Sunday, they responded the next day, Monday. I placed the order on that Monday and had the USB hub on Friday. Six days total from first contact to having the device in hand.

They were responsive to questions and quick to ship with a shipping update with tracking information.

Love the fit and function of the USB hub.

There was a slight delay with shipment but they updated me.
