The short positions are pulling in any old news. Must be at the breaking point.

Toyota is probably kicking itself (for more than one reason)

Toyota made money on the deal. Tesla benefitted from the investment and the acquisition of the Fremont factory for next to nothing. Win-win. Nobody is crying. Except the people who shorted TSLA maybe.

Toyota is particularly fcuked by EVs since they invested 10X in Hydrogen. Which has not (and will never) pay off.

Probably why Akiyo Toyoda, Toyota CEO, is now leading their EV team. Time to get serious. If it's not too late.

Japan hoped Atomic Power plants would produce cheap hydrogen. They may now realize that Atomic power plants only produce bomb (plutonium) relatively cheap for US bomb making.

You might remember people thought Atomic Reactors - all that excess heat - would make cheap distilled water. What happened to that plan? They realized tritium and in your water not such a good idea. Yes, when it decays in your body the neutron could damage your DNA and cancer might result. Of course it is all a matter of chance so how good is your luck? Experiment on going at Fukushima as you read. 100 fold? increase in thyroid cancer in children is not caused by melt downs, just ask TEPCO,
