Is Model X the tech equivalent of a strip club

Is Model X the tech equivalent of a strip club

It costs money to get in
You can look as much as you like
But you can't touch

And

No matter how much you spend you can't take one home with you.

Farmer Dave | December 10, 2015

And the dance is so tempting.

vandacca | December 10, 2015

And the seats won't go down...

Triggerplz | December 10, 2015

And u can reach your PEAK in 3.2 seconds

Triggerplz | December 10, 2015

And if u pay more u get your lap dance first no matter how long u been in line

Roamer@AZ USA | December 10, 2015

$40k for VIP room. $5k for general admission

But if you type "charger" you can get additional services.

Roamer@AZ USA | December 10, 2015

@Triggerplz. Don't the hottest girls always cost you more....Even in real life.

Ankit Mishra | December 10, 2015

Wild moves - doors open upwards.

carlk | December 10, 2015

Lol you just don't know the right club to go.

Of course I mean people in the founder's club do have one they can have fun with at home.

Ankit Mishra | December 10, 2015

I think my above comment is offensive. Apologies.

Triggerplz | December 10, 2015

@ANKIT MISHRA No apology needed after the stress of waiting for the X its nice to have a little fun here.. Long as u don't bring up the subject of folding seats it's all good....LOL

ian t.wa.us | December 10, 2015

Haha! Ankit, you're funny. This whole thread could be considered offensive. ;-)

Nothing to add. Can't think of any more metaphors.

EVino | December 10, 2015

What do you get if you get three?

ian t.wa.us | December 10, 2015

Or one of each?

AlMc | December 10, 2015

The headlamps are voluminous....but there is nothing under the 'hood'

Lubdub | December 10, 2015

and one always hopes that at some point there is a happy ending

georgehawley.fl.us | December 10, 2015

unlike a strip club, you will be able to take an X-rated model home with you. :-))

georgehawley.fl.us | December 10, 2015

Soon

jacksiart | December 10, 2015

Dear George (president for life),
I recall your agonizing over the choice of bridge vehicle until you eventually bought a used Model S. I know you are as frustrated as the rest of us, but you have been able to experience the future of automobile transportation while many of us are patching together yesterday's ICE vehicles hoping they will last until soon turns into now.
You simply have to been feeling very good about your wisdom.

Red Sage ca us | December 10, 2015

Imagine the stress relief once you reach full release.

Roamer@AZ USA | December 11, 2015

For those that can't make it to the club there are online Model X video entertainment sites. These can be viewed in the privacy of your own home.

Warning; Video shows graphic images of naked Model X cars performing amazing moves. This video may not be suitable for people suffering from seat or door attachment issues.

jjs | December 11, 2015

+1 Roamer Too funny!

Roamer@AZ USA | December 11, 2015

@Ankrit, This thread is for entertainment purposes only and is not to be taken seriously.

Your comment was appropriate since the Falcon Door flap is a move only mastered by the Model X and is considered a "Signature" move. Only "Founders" have witnessed this move in person. The shows "Production" dept has promised all will someday join in experiencing this unique entertainment "Delivery".

@jack: I have to admit the Plan B idea wasn't mine but a suggestion by a fellow forumite. What a great idea!

The loaner was like brand new with 4K miles on it and has been virtually trouble free for the past 10 months. Every now and then I warn my bride and launch it up an on-ramp to the local interstate highway. In a few seconds the S85 is hitting 90 and I have to slow down to merge.

The autopilot functions are fun to try but I only regularly use TACC which software is still immature IMO.

But it works well enough for most purposes.

Driving the S is a pleasure that I can only wish everyone could enjoy.

I saved more than $15K over purchasing new, including the tax credit. Came with a new car warranty. And, when I trade it for the X, I'll get another tax credit and sales tax discount.

The funny thing is that the X90D will be even quicker than the S85 O-60!

@Roamer: Sorry to impinge on the levity but the strip club analogy is getting worn a little thin anyway.

Waiting for the X is so much easier when one can drive a a Tesla every day. Fabulous car despite its minor flaws and it keeps getter with more features over time! I recommend it to anyone with the $ it requires to acquire.

Getting better, that is. I am iPad typing impaired.
