Camera save feature.

Camera save feature.

I've had a USB thumb drive in my X for several weeks now. Today there was an interesting event on the road from big chunks of Styrofoam that fell off a truck and cars were smashing into a Styrofoam "snowstorm" in the interstate. So I pressed the little icon so it would save the video. And it did rename the files to "saved [date/time stamp]" Except that it either deleted, corrupted, or missed the exact key clip of the actual event. I have the clips leading up to the snapshot in time I was trying to save, and ones afterwards, but not the exact clip. I guess (like all Tesla software) it's still in "beta" and if you want reliable recording you'd better get a real camera. Sigh.

Per the manual the recording button saves the last 10 minutes. So I think it’s by design that it saved the events leading up to the button press. Makes sense if you think about what it was prob intended for.
