SpaceX's launch and deployment of 60 satellites as the first step toward Starlink, went off without a hitch. Starlink, of course, will eventually consist of ~4k satellites in low orbit beaming down high speed internet wherever you happen to be on the planet. Cheaper and better. By the end of the year, SpaceX says an additional six launches/deployments will allow them to begin to offer internet service to Canada and the northern US. By the close of 2020, most of the developed world will be covered. A year to two later, the entire globe. Someone got hold of a prospectus SpaceX filed with an investment bank where the company said they expect their internet/streaming service to rake in $30 billion annually.
I know what I'm going to do as soon as Starlink becomes available in my neck of the woods. Sayanora AT&T and Comcast. Don't let the door hit you in the butt on your way out.
