Reflective film

Reflective film

Has anyone put reflective film on the topside of a sunshade that protects unwanted sun (and heat) ?

I get the strong, high altitude sun of Colorado and no need for additional block.

I tinted the top 6" of the windshield with 5% darkness. Never had an issue with it...

In CA, you're only allowed film in the 4" from the top of the windshield. How that makes sense with the glass going to the back may be hard to interpret. Likely not a real issue.

I put my windshield sunshade there to block the sun.

I have the darkest shade just before blackout and I still get heat. I'm bald and in Dallas, TX. I feel the heat on those midday sunny days. I will be able to watch the eclipse with my sunglasses - LOL.

The factory tint blocks all UV rays and about 85% of the heat.
