# of cars produced?

Hi All,

After checking on the $7500 tax credit to see when it might expire for Tesla, I can't find any info on how many cars Tesla has produced thus far. Is there any solid information on how far away the Feds are from phasing out the $7500 tax credit for Teslas? From the numbers I've seen (approx 8,000 cars since 2012) we're nowhere near the 200k start of phase out, but I'm just curious if there's any solid data out there.

TIA!

Phase Out & Termination less...
The credit begins to phase out for vehicles at the beginning of the second calendar quarter after the manufacturer produces 200,000 eligible plug-in electric vehicles (i.e., plug-in hybrids and EVs) as counted from January 1, 2010. IRS will announce when a manufacturer exceeds this production figure and will announce the subsequent phase out schedule.

Tesla is not close to producing that 200K cars the target for this year was 21K and this is the first full year of production. There is another thread tracking vins in the 27K area however that is not what is expected to be delivered this year especially if Tesla has battery supply constraints
