Next Generation Seats

Next Generation Seats

Has anybody else noticed that TM has introduced "Next Generation" seats for the MS? They appear to have more padding with better lateral support. However, they are only available on the P85D. Does that mean that we will be forced to order the "P" MX if we want the better seats?

"Next Generation" is still linked to the "P85D" (if you choose it and then switch from "P85D" back to "85D", the "Next Generation" is dropped); paradis is right.

Indeed, the two seem to be linked, at least in Design Studio. This suggests production constraints regarding "Next Generation".

You might want to contact Tesla directly (by phone or email) if you want to pair the "Next Generation" seats with a non-P MS.

Since MX is not in the Design Studio phase yet, the link might not apply to it.

The Model X seats are going to be completely different than the Model S seats. I would wait and see what the final version looks and feels like before assessing them.

According to my MS service tech, the new Recaro seats offered in the P85D had to be crash tested because the seat anchor design was changed.

if you choose it and then switch from "P85D" back to "85D", the "Next Generation" is dropped
