Supercharger use

Supercharger use

When you use a supercharger, notice that they are numbered and paired. If possible, do not hook up to 3A if someone is already using 3B. This applies to each number’s A and B chargers. When both A and B of a number are in use, the charge rate decreases for both cars. If you are charging and another car pulls up to use the other in your pair, let them know rhat they will get better results by moving to a hookup in an unoccupied pair.

Keep in mind this practice is unnecessary at the new "urban" superchargers.

Keep in mind that some Superchargers are set up 1A 1B 2A 2B 3A 3B etc while others are 1A 2A 3A ect. 1B 2B 3B etc.

So some it is best to skip a spot between cars while others it is better to park directly next to others.

"When both A and B of a number are in use, the charge rate decreases for both cars. "

Only if the first car to connect to the pair is pulling more than 90KW. If car #1 is into the taper and is pulling less than 90KW the charge rate will remain the same for car#1 and the second car to connect will get the remaining capacity of the charger.
