Now I can find this on Mytesla dashboard: "Production is planned to begin in 2017."
Wasn't it something else there earlier (late 2017?), I am not sure ?
Yes, I think the verbiage from Tesla has changed from saying that production will start in late 2017 to volume production in the second half of 2017. I've always assumed that their internal goal was volume production in August, but they were more cautious in their public statements in case things slipped. Apparently they're more confident in their plans now that they're getting closer.
Mine says "Deliveries will begin in late 2017." I reserved on 3/31/16
@info - What day did you reserve? I am curious why mine says something different.
@Octagondd - I reserved on 4/01/2016 online one hour before the revealing
@Octagondd - I had the same sentence like you up until yesterday... production must be before before delivery so it makes sense that production is 2017 but delivery is late 2017. it is strange though that we have different wording
hmm, maybe they changed all the international reservations to say what yours says. I am assuming you are not in the U.S. since your reservation was the next day but before the reveal.
On the Model 3 page it states "Production begins mid 2017".
On My Tesla page it has "Your Model 3 was reserved on 3/31/2016. Deliveries will begin in late 2017".
I reserved online about an hour before the reveal.
yes I am in Hungary, and you may be right and looking at it like this does not sound too good
changing delivery from late 2017 to production in 2017 probably means that no chance for
delivery but only production in 2017 (at least for non-us customers)
if any non-us one reads this please let us know what you have on your tesla page
I never thought anyone but US customers would see the car before 2018.
MyTesla reservation page says this (for an APAC RHD version):
"Production is planned to begin in 2017."
Unfortunately, I think they are hedging their bets with regards to non-US deliveries. Probably in part to deliver as many as possible in the US before the US tax credit starts to phase out.
@info - "changing delivery from late 2017 to production in 2017 probably means that no chance for
delivery but only production in 2017"
To my knowledge, customers outside the USA never had the text "delivery from late 2017" on their MyTesla page. Never. I certainly never had it (Australia). My text says "Production is planned to begin in 2017". So to portray this as a "change" is not correct.
USA customer though have had a change, their text changed to "delivery from late 2017" a month or so ago, a clear sign that Tesla has increasing confidence in their ability to build and deliver Model 3 on time.
I had delivery from late 2017, and it changed to production 2017....... from British Columbia, Canada
OK - "outside USA and Canada"
@bj then your knowledge is wrong because I am in Hungary and I also had the change...
Well in that case Tesla made a mistake updating the text in markets they should not have.
Mine says: Production is planned to begin in 2017.
I'm in Croatia.
I'm in Italy and sais: Production is planned beginning 2017.
Your Model 3 was reserved on 5/10/2016. Deliveries will begin in late 2017. US location.
I was under the impression that everyone not in the US had their text changed to say "production is planned beginning 2017".
US and it says,
Your Model 3 was reserved on 4/3/2016. Deliveries will begin in late 2017.
In the United States (Florida)

Click on Model 3 on the top of Teslas website, and it says Mid 2017.
Mine also was originally "late 2017", and now states "Production is planned to begin in 2017". I reserved April 1st and I am in Ontario Canada.
