Interesting development, but doubt it can apply to mobile applications.

The link states: "But Imergy’s team says its new battery can be made for under $300 per kilowatt hour". I believe that is higher than Tesla's cost before the gigafactory. If this battery isn't cost-competitive, I wonder if it's worth spending money to develop it and bring it to market.

I think that this may be why so many Naysayers continue to misstate what Tesla Motors' cost per kWh may be at as much as $500. Someone is trying to fool people into investing in an inferior technology. These click bait stories invariably mention Tesla Motors as well.
