With the model 3, customers could cancel their reservations at any time. $50k for the base model is a lot to put down on a car that isn't built yet, so is it refundable in full?
I assume so although I did not see it mentioned anywhere on the Tesla website.
I heard that $5000 out of that deposit is non-refundable.
I’m sorry, that was actually for the Semi, so I don’t know if th deposit is refundable in full.
Yes, all of it is until you get into a purchase agreement ie make your this is what I read in the purchase agreement docs.
Quote from the purchase agreement document:
"Until you enter into a Purchase Agreement, your Reservation may be cancelled at any time, in which
case you will receive a full refund of your Reservation Payment."
https://www.tesla.com/sites/default/files/roadster/TeslaRoadsterReservat... -- I was about to quote the same thing as Rutrow.
I see the link on my M3 reservation page to cancel that order & get a refund. I don't see that on my Roadster reservation page yet, but I'm between the initial credit card charge and having them receive my wire transfer.
