Just picked one of these up today.
A friend has one in her new Honda, and they're awesome.
A must have for sunny states.
Okay. Why No (!)?
It just does not look right to me.
Not for me. I'm normally a function-over-form kind of guy, but having something like this taped to my windshield? Nope.
Won't put one in mine (once I have it).
After trying several different types of shades in various vehicles over the years, I find the type that folds into a circle for easy storage in a seat pocket etc. works best for me. They spring open and are very easy to fit into place plus having such a compact storage method makes it easy to keep handy but out of sight. Guess everyone may have a preference but this is mine. Now when I get my car, just need to take some measurements and buy the correct size.
Just ordered this one, seemed like the best price for a custom thick roll up one with the Gold foil. (I have no idea what the gold is supposed to do). www.ebay.com/itm/Intro-Tech-G-TE-03-Custom-Gold-Auto-Windshield-Sunshade...
the best one (and i've tried MANY) is by Covercraft. I purchased mine off of CarID.com (see link below)
also is a link to a youtube review. It's customized and made to order, fairly priced and has different colors. the BEST sunshade you can buy specifically for TM3
@illestjar - thanks! I had been looking before I got the car for one that was custom made to the Tesla 3 because I had one like that for my last 2 cars and they seemed far more effective than the off-the-shelf stuff you can buy. I just ordered one of those!
That Covercraft looks good to me. I ended up buying the silver one and the cover for the thing.
I bought one at Costco for $10 and was surprised it came with two small meshes for side windows which fitted perfect for glass roof above.
Ive seen alot of forums asking similar questions to you. It made me think manufacturers should have an option for sun shades to come with the car.
A buddy of mine and I did the research and designed a sun shade that would be built in the dash to be electrically deployed and protect the car better than any store bought option. I know convience is a large reason sun shades fail to be popular.
Is a product like this something you would be interested in?
I just park in the barn. When parked outside when I'm not home, inside temperature control can be used.
