Carbon fiber tail spoiler

Carbon fiber tail spoiler

I want order just the standard 85kWh Model S but it doesn't come with the carbon fiber spoiler. I am wondering if anyone is getting a Performance or owns one and does not want their carbon fiber tail spoiler? I will buy it from them. Please let me know.

I am picking mine up Oct 18th and may very well not like it and take it off. You are welcome to buy it

Yea for sure!! I hope it is just a plug and play and no holes needed to be drilled. I'll shoot you an email right now to assuming that's your email. Great! Now I can place my order. I really didn't want performance for regular driving but wanted the spoiler super bad.

My Model S was delivered in late March. They just called saying they have mine. 10/9/2013. They never told me when I got the car it was missing. I'm 50/50 if I'll have them install it. I'll keep watching this thread if I don't.

They use 3M adhesive tape for the spoilers. no holes. but you can damage the paint pulling it off if not done right.

If you're not planning to install yours, please email me -- I'm interested in buying one...

I'm looking for the new version (matt) spoiler as well.

I am interested in buying one too. I have the regular 85. Anyone want to sell theirs?

Contact me at if you have as well.

I recently ordered a P85 and deleted the spoiler, which is now standard equipment on the P85. That's how much I dislike tacked-on spoilers. I've been wondering if, since I'm paying for it anyway, Tesla can be persuaded to throw the stupid thing in the frunk of my car so I can eBay it, or otherwise sell it. Does anyone know if that's possible? I think I know the answer, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

You can order it with your car and ask the service center to remove it because you "no longer like it."
Or you could ask them to ship it with the car and decide whether or not you want it on delivery.

Happy Holidays,

I have one that I never put on the car. I kind of got used to the look of it without the spoiler, so by the time tesla sent it to me I just held onto it. Its the new version. Any service center will install it. But I agree that you should be sure you want it on, as taking it off may damage the paint.

So yeah, id part with it if anyone is interested. Let me know if you are interested and I'll contact you.

TiburonTesla, I would like to buy your spoiler. Please email me

Brian H | December 26, 2013

Dental Floss does a good job of removing it, apparently.

Andercam | December 26, 2013

Is the spoiler still available?

Petitefogger | December 28, 2013

@tesla.mahedy (alex):

I asked the "Ownership Advisor" who took my P85 order if TM would ship the spoiler to me not attached to the car. His answer: "no." With a P85, the spoiler comes attached to the car or not at all. I'm not going to assume that I could unstick the thing without paint damage. Wonder how many other buyers TM will sell "my" spoiler to ...

Solved early on. Dental floss.

I'm in the market to buy a spoiler as well. (glossy preferred, but will consider matte). Please email me if you have one you're willing to sell(

I too would like to buy a spoiler if anyone would consider selling theirs (preferably at a reasonable price). Also, if anyone would consider selling their 21" turbine wheels, I'd be interested.
