Charger cable/plug wall mount

Charger cable/plug wall mount

I am setting up my garage and would like to purchase the wall mount which supports the tesla plug and holds the cable. Its absolutely perfect for hanging the mobile charger cable without spending the $1200 for the hogh power charger. Does anyone know if can I purchase or where else to locate

It only comes with the HPWC, but maybe someone (not me) would like to sell you theirs. Due to the cable thickness of the HPWC, it's not that easy to click the charger plug into the holder. The cable has a tendency to want to twist or move the plug out. But it would hold the regular charger cable just fine.

I used a shower mount (although with a more complex project to detect if it was hung up or not). It should work fine if mounted to the wall. This has all the details. http://teslatap.com/modifications/home-charging-indicator/

Look under Cable Connector hook box. No need to build the box, just get the shower mount.

I asked about that too. Not available separately from the HPWC. So instead I got a $2 hook at the hardware store, and hung the cable on that. The connector is perfectly fine just dangling. I also used a tool hook (U shaped thing with a screw in the center of the U pointing "down") to support the bottom of the charger control unit, so its weight isn't constantly tugging the wall plug. It doesn't really matter, those big plugs hold quite nicely, but it also brings it closer to the wall.

I hooked a few bungee cords to the garage door railing overhead to creat loops that hold the cord right at car level and right by the charge port! Total cost: $6.

The Tesla HPWC hanger doesn't work well as stated above. The connector keeps falling out. I used a $4.34 hose hanger from Lowes (part#12708) and it works great, see pic here https://twitter.com/MezzaTesla/status/326139210383884289/photo/1

While waiting for my Tesla hanger, I used a modular hanger system called Snap2it. I used a hose rack with it.

What is holding up the plug end of the cable?

I used the Rubbermaid FastTrack system & have been happy with that

I simply tilted the cable organizer when I mounted it to match the angle of the charger handle

I bought a wall mount for a garden hose. $7.95 at Ace Hardware.

You can buy the "replacement" cable hangar for 25.00, it is shown in their on line accessories catalogue. I bought one 2 years ago.
