clock timer for charger

I have a 220 v outlet with NEMA 14-50 plug and wonder if there is a clock timer accessory that I could plug in between the wall outlet and the Tesla charging cable in order to take advantage of lower, off peak electric rates which are middle of the night.
Any advice?

The latest version of the tesla software(4.3), which not everyone has yet, offers this feature. You can set it to start charging at a certain time.

I found a 240v mechanical indoor/outdoor timer switch for my hot-tub - but it's only rated for 30 amps - I found it difficult to find a timer for high AMP usage…

I would just wait for the 4.3 software update and you won't need it anymore - and the timers I did find weren't cheap.

The next step is to be able to set charge completion time, and let the car figger out when to start.
