Suppose a Tesla sits in an Arizona garage, air temp is 110 and garage temp is 140. If the car is not plugged in, the TMS won't fire up to cool the battery, right? If the battery sits for days at that temp without being cooled, can that cause long term damage?
Heat is hard on batteries, unless they have coolant flowing through. See Nissan LEAF.
