Estimation on Delivery?

Estimation on Delivery?

Hi Folk,

I purchased/signed final documentation for my Model S During the week of March 11th. I need to sell my existing car via a private sale. So I'm trying to measure an estimate of how long I should expect to wait/rent while I'm waiting for delivery. I ordered a 60Kw Model S. Black, Air Suspension, Tech Package and Leather. I've heard, from these forums, that it seems my parts are fairly standard and in stock.

anyone have idea educated guess on when I will receive it? Can I expect beginning of May or End of May?

They didn't give you date at all? I thought anytime you finalized an order you would have some sort of delivery date. My experience is really not valid cause I got an early car and my date was pushed around and delayed, but I can tell you once I got my FINAL delivery date it was a few days early.
I'm sure someone with a more recent experience could give a better reply. I just remember being at Disneyland, celebrating about getting our S soon and Tesla called me. They were ready to deliver! I had to ask them if they could wait till tomorrow. 10am, here comes my S! It was that fast!
Congrats on the purchase! The silence of the S is so cool as it pulls into your driveway, and you know its yours! Tesla Time:-)

Are you sure it was the "final" paperwork? I just signed my final MVPA on March 14th, received it back from Tesla on March 15th and it has a vehicle delivery date on it of March 26th. Also once you receive the email asking you to complete the final MVPA you will see a red "Pay Now" button on your my Tesla page. Hope that helps.

I signed on 2/4/13 and picked it up my 60kW today!! It was technically ready middle of last week.

I clicked the Finalize Button, and signed the Pre-MVPA Agreement. Its been over a week and I haven't heard anything. The site simply states "Your car is being built by the factory". I have not received any other documentation.

How long between your Pre-MVPA and your final MVPA documents did you have?

When I re-finalized (adding air suspension) on 2/8, my paperwork--and phone calls to Tesla--revealed a date of--wait for it--TBD. And to date, all I've heard for my very normal 60kwh configuration is "probably April," and "I don't see why it wouldn't be April." Let's just say, I wouldn't sell that car just yet!

I signed my Pre-MVPA on Jan 31st and didn't get the final MVPA until March 14th, so about 6 weeks

I started the purchase process of my 80Kw Model S when placing the deposit on 2.15.13.
I picked up the car on 3.3.13, exactly 30 days later.

Make that, 85Kw.....

cmanchen | March 17, 2013

@teacake - So you finalized and received your car in 30 days? I'm assuming you meant to say it was delivered 3/13/2013? I'm asking because I ordered my P85 Friday, 3/15/2013 and I assumed I wouldn't see it until at least late May/early June...

The entire process from the day I impulsively went to the Tesla web site, placed my deposit and secured a reservation position, to me driving the car, was 30 days.
The Tesla chap at the delivery centre in Santa Monica, CA said this was the shortest wait time he had heard of.

Ordered a P85 loaded Black/Black in Nov. Picking up tomorrow in Dania Beach. Excited

I would think that the 85KW would be a fairly quick turn around. I wasn't sure on the 60KW what the turn around is. 6 Weeks seems logical. I think I'm going to try to sell my existing car now :)

signed 60Kw pre-mvpa on 2/8, still waiting.
