Should have taken a picture of this but did see a bank of 24 Tesla chargers that are about to be activated at this casino.
They look completely installed but the plastic film covering the chargers has not been removed yet. I inquired at the front desk of the hotel; they are slated for activation some time in July. There's nothing else even close to this anywhere near this location. Just to be clear; these are Destination type chargers not Superchargers.
Hmmm... road trip from San Diego? I don't even gamble.
please explain the difference?
Superchargers are the DC (Direct Current) Fast Chargers that can deliver 120kW of power, charging a Tesla tp 80% in half an hour or so.
Destination Chargers are slower, Level 2 AC connectors much like a Tesla Wall Connector. They can range from 8kw up to 22kw, depending on the installation. I would think the ones at a casino would likely be 8-11kw, but that’s a total guess. But you are going to be there longer (they hope) so a slower charge is fine.
I wonder what the $/hour figure to the casino is for having a destination chargers. Tesla customers likely have more disposable income and the casino has food, drink, and gambling for them to spend money on.
I don't see how this helps when we can already identify all chargers on a trip both super and regular through various apps

I take the home to Cherokee NC to Murphy NC to home gambit fairly often. I have been charging in Clayton GA (CHEdeMO) for about 25 minutes to make the round trip and going to both casinos. So glad these are open (any pics anybody). Now I’ll be able to charge while I play and then head home re-energized without a CHAdeMO pit stop.
The same as the Atlantic City casino The Borgata they actually told me they don’t have superchargers because they want you stay for a while, they don’t want you gone in 40 minutes
