Homelink button on Summon screen

Homelink button on Summon screen

Yesterday I noticed a small Homelink icon in the upper-right of the Summon screen (Android app). I was in bed and pressed it and heard my garage door open. I waited, and pressed it again to close it. Since I wasn't absolutely sure it shut, I got out of bed, disabled the alarm and checked the garage. It was still open.
I'm not sure if this feature has been mentioned, but I wanted to bring it up in case someone presses it when thy are away from home. It would be a bummer if the garage opened while on vacation!
Also, I'm not sure how it knew *which* of my homelink profiles to trigger.

I think you'd be out of range on vacation.

I don't have EAP, but I want homelink control from the app. I wish it was somewhere that was available to all users rather than in Summon.

Way cool, just sent Spice into a barking fit of rage with it.

Thanks for sharing, so much fun.

@jamilworm: There are third-party Tesla apps that give you access to HomeLink without Summon, Remote S for example.

I have iOS version 3.8.0 of the Tesla app and there’s no HomeLink icon on my Summon screen or anywhere else that I can see.

You do have to be within certain range in order for the homelink button to appear.
