How to see a Model X in person?

How to see a Model X in person?

I live in NYC. I'm considering buying either a model s or model x. Before I decide I'd like to see a model x in person. Easier said than done.

Anyone have any idea how it might be possible to see an X? Is there a NY-based auto show that it would be at upcoming? Are there Tesla events where they might show it? Any other ideas?

And if not - what's the latest news as far as when a model might make it to showrooms? Thanks.

I posed this same question to a representative at a Tesla showroom two weeks ago in southern California. At the time, the best answer he could offer was that I visit the Hawthorne location, where I could see a (clay?) scale model of the Model X. Aside from that, he also showed me a pretty wide selection of highly detailed photographs that I haven't been able to find online yet.

The Tesla Model X was on display in Detroit in January. And I believe that it will also be on display in Geneva in March. I am not sure if it will be the same beautiful white EV as the one that was on display in Detroit. Besides of that the only thing you can see is photo's on the internet. But in the summer there will be Tesla Model X EV's in the showrooms, I hope.

I wonder if any/all drivable X betas are out in "the wild" being banged around at the moment. I'd assume as many as possible are "taking advantage" of the snow.

We can only hope so.

I'd be surprised to see any X's in stores before 2014. I hope I'm wrong though.

Goneskiian - You're right, Tesla's already moved those goalposts back to the 2nd half of 2014.

The focus must be fully on the targets of the Tesla Model S for 2013, I think.

I would love to see one as soon as possible, but the only thing that. I heard that there was one at the Garden State Plaza mall in NJ but it was gone by the time I was in the area. I live in Virginia and the Tyson's store is already more than 3 months behind schedule. (Not due to Tesla but dues to Virginia Red Tape anti Tesla lobbying by Virginia Dealers). Having to wait a few months longer than anticipated simply gives me more time to save for all the options that I want such as the largest available battery pack. While we wait, a lot will be learned from the S. Still, it would be nice to see the Model X in person soon.

March - Geneva
April - New York

I guess that you can see the white Tesla Model X which was on display in January in Detroit.

Sorry, what do you mean about "April - New York"? Where'd you read that?

A Tesla salesperson told me yesterday that Model X deliveries are now slated for "December 2014." Don't know how accurate that is, we were talking about the S and it came up in passing.

New York International Auto Show (Jacob Javits Center, NYC).
March 29th - April 7th

I am sure that the Tesla Model X will be displayed in Geneva, Switzerland. And in New York it would be obvious that the Tesla Model X will be displayed, but I am not sure about that.

Bummer. I was hoping to have one in 2014. Presuming, of course, that I can get my wife over her absolute repulsion of falcon wing doors. ;-) That's looking more and more like 2015. Ugh. Might have to buy an S in the meantime. ;-)

Just spoke to another sales manager - he said that the Model X will NOT be shown in that NY Autoshow.

He also said that as of now, deliveries should come still be coming summer or fall of 2014.
