HPWC for sale **Unopened Box"

Hi,
Would anyone care to purchase a new, unopened HPWC for the MS? I just purchased this at the San Diego service center a few weeks ago but will not be installing it. This is the most recent model (with new fuses) per the service tech.

I bet we see a lot more of these threads now that you HAVE to get the HPWC if you get the twin chargers on the car.

I'm also interested. Considering installing outside of business for other tesla owners to use (provided not abused).

Sorry everyone...TM just informed me they would refund my purchase of the HPWC so I will go this route imstead. Thx for your interest.

That is what I did as well. Just returned it for full refund! Tesla said it was no problem since there was a very high demand for them.

Who did you talk to to get the refund? I just got mine today one week after delivery of my P85. My DS was not cooperative when I mentioned that my house would not accommodate the HPWC. Was told it was part of my deal and they would not take it back. Surprised by that response. Have a Nema 14-50 outlet which is fine and works great. Thanks.

How much did you get back for the HPWC?
I think it is a bad idea of Tesla to lump these two items together.

tbake;
the purchase policy changed in the meantime. You might sell it privately.

OTOH, some with just one charger prefer to use the HPWC because it means a neater setup, and the cable can stay in the trunk for road use.

Can the HPWC be installed outside, withstands rain and the elements? If so I would consider getting one.

nick-r | September 4, 2013

@TomasT Yes, the HPWC can be installed outside. It's rugged and weather proof.

@nick-r. Thanks, I will be looking for a used one to see how much.

Why didn't you just return it to Tesla for a refund?
