Model X sunvisor

Model X sunvisor

Generally the sunvisor works okay for the front windshield. Certainly could be a better design there. However, on the left side window, driver side, it seems to be useless! I have had to use a piece if paper stuck in the driver side door window to block the sun. Anyone have have any suggestions.

I agree about the visor. a design defect. this issue came up on the forum about a year ago. Someone recommended buy 8.5 X 11 plastic film and provided a link. I bought it and put on left window. I take it down most of the year, but for about Nov - Feb it is real useful. Sorry, dont have the link. if you use one of the search engines you may find it: use volkerize, or use teslataps website.

I just wear my baseball cap sideways like a thug.

I agree about the design defect. My solution was to tint the two front door windows with a tint that blocked more heat than light. Works great.

Haha lilbean ... What I’d love to have for the sides are those pull-up screens.

@mathwhiz Those would be great but they probably aren’t legal. I think that’s defnitely better than hanging a piece of paper of coat that you can’t see through. Sometimes, I just use a big post it note to stick on the window.

Joe - here is the link for the 8.5 X 11 plastic film i put on the left window https://pilotshq.com/sunguard-sun-visor-large-acna010-p-273.html?osCsid=...

What i like is that i can see thru it and that i can take it down for most of the year when the sun is higher in the sky so i dont need it. One disadvantage is that i cant roll the window down more than about 4 inches or the film gets pushed off the window.

I'm hoping for an aftermarket replacement which will telescope to cover that area but also have a roll up blind built in to extend overhead to cover the windshield overhead, eliminating the folding sunscreen.
