My MS driver profile change won’t STOP but it will S_OP

Weird quirk...lately when I change driver profiles (or automatic change when getting the car) the little red box under the profile name at the top of the MCU says S_OP (that’s S-underline character-O-P in case your browser doesn’t display it). Used to say STOP. Still works though, it will stop when I press it. Of course this is a minor annoyance, I just hope the software programmer who did this didn’t work on some critical function.

2016 MS refresh. Anyone seen this?

I just called service this morning about such an issue. The know it’s bug in the last update. The next update has the fix.

If you scroll wheel reboot, it will fix it for a while. It is a memory overflow issue where the font data is getting overwritten.

Seems okay, hope the “memory overflow” only affects this letter. Thanks. I’ve seen mainframes crash due to that.

This is typical memory overwriting behavior. They are overwriting the font data in memory.

Haven’t seen the St_p, will check.
But since vers 2018.48.1 our driver profile doesn’t always read the fob as to who is driving. The profile selected is constantly wrong, and it seems there is a correlation between the instrument cluster rebooting to Tesla symbol and incorrect reading of driving profile.
Have rebooted both screens and reported to service. Double checked keyfob config to make sure fobs were linked to right profile.
Hoping the next rev corrects this and the reboots of instrument cluster after a 15 min stop.

I have been experiencing something similar, as in missing or messed up letters and digits, when using a supercharger. The amount of kw and rate of miles being added is all jumble, and flickering on the charging screen. In other words, completely unreadable. However the display on the instrument panel is fine. The way I look at it, as long as the car is charging, it doesn't bother me.
