New Model S Reservation holder

New Model S Reservation holder

Finally did it! I've placed my reservation for a Model S. Test driving the Roadster was the final straw...these cars are amazing. Oh, and I got a jacket to go with my reservation...

dearmanlaw | December 10, 2010

Reserved my Model S yesterday and received reservation number 2763!

nickjhowe | December 13, 2010

Just got number 2698 of the General Production (P) reservation list. Patience, patience....

Sindre | December 19, 2010

If you are in the Oslo area stfjos hopefully you can come and take a ride in my Model S. I've got European P121 so hopefully I will get mine in 2012.

Runar | December 19, 2010

Sindre, hopefully 2012 will be the year.:-) Got P137 here, Norway.

Anyone now how many model S has been ordered total so far?

Around P400 in europe, 3000 in USA and..Canada? +elsewhere?
Signature Series 200 or more?

First year production 1000 Signature series and then perhaps 4000 of the regular model S?

Runar | December 19, 2010

now=know :-)

Kallisman | December 19, 2010

Hey, I got reservation #299 of the standard Model S in Europe, according to the My Tesla page. Can't remember I ever got any other information than that about production number. I reserved the car in july.
Nice to see I'm not the only one in Norway with a reservation, btw:-)

stfjos | December 20, 2010

Hi Sindre! Thank's for the invitation! It would be nice to know how many bookings there are from the Oslo area.

ebm | December 20, 2010

I just made my reservation........#2785. Seattle WA USA

Mehdi | December 21, 2010

Welcome ebm, Seattle here too (Redmond actually), hopefully see you in the Model S Seattle club when we get the cars.

ebm | December 22, 2010

Thanks Mehdi! When did you reserve yours? I'm farther south....near Lake Tapps.

Geoff2013 | December 22, 2010

Mehdi and Ebm - Count me in too - I'm also from Seattle. Cheers!

ebm | December 23, 2010

Welcome Geoff2012.....Hopefully we see even more from the Seattle area!!!

HP | December 25, 2010

Hi guys (and girls),
Quess its worth while considering a signature serie if you like to drive the model S (soon). I upgraded this november and have S49 now (still kept my P number, just in case signature is too expensive...). I was happy with that low number, but also worried; did the reservations go so slow? Now I see the 2000 and up numbers, think Tesla is gone survive and has the first good looking EV in the market (Renault Fluence and Opel Ampera are really not my stuff). Han, Holland.

Timo | December 25, 2010

Ampera or Volt (same car) is not a EV, it is a hybrid.

PatriciaS | December 28, 2010

We went to the Menlo Park showroom in December 2009 and wrote a check, but since I didn't sign up online, I had to follow up with a call to the Model S rep to get my number. I got P1447.

I'd like to know where everybody who reserved a Model S lives. I live in Santa Cruz, CA, and once I get my car, I'd like to see an owner's club started up. It would be fun to get together with fellow Model S drivers!

ELECTRIC-FRANKIE | December 30, 2010

Good Day from snow filled germany

two weeks ago I signed the agreement for my Model S and paid my depo and have not heard fron Tesla since ! Is that normal ?

Questions for all the Tesla drivers in germany : where have you insured the car ? What Insurance is handling the teslas ?

Ad van der Meer | December 30, 2010

Hello Frank,

Congratulations on your decision.

As to Tesla: They need a reminder every now and than. I don't know when you paid exactly, but your money transfer will take some time. Just send an email to your sales representative and don't forget to post your reservation number here ;-)

Ad van der Meer (P270 Europe)

Mehdi | December 30, 2010

ebm: I reserved my Model S back in early May 2010, I'm P1858. Hopefully you and Geoff2012 aren't too far from my delivery date. We'll have to get all the owners of Seattle 2012 Model S together over beer or something..

Roblab | December 31, 2010

There is a better site for this kind of public query: Tesla Motors CLUB Forum. You can include things like email, or send direct messages to others. There was once a mapping of all participating new Model S and Roadster owners, but a lot of people seem to be afraid of having anyone know where they live, even to the county. So I can't find it now.
I live in Napa Valley, and if you ever drive this far, look me up. And you may email me at stelling at napanet dot net. Free Charging if you use 14-50 plug.

FrederickG | January 2, 2011

Well,Its 2011. We are closer to getting our cars but it still seems like forever. I am in South Texas in the middle of an oil/gas boom. We have 3 booms going on for oil and gas in the US and yet they still use the excuse that supply is short in order to gouge us. I am happy to say I ordered a TESLA S series around June of last year and my number is 2131. With the 60 republicans that were elected ,it didnt take long for the oil industry to start gouging again. Prices jumped up .15 cents a gallon within days of the elections and is headed to $ 4-5 dollar a gallon fuel by 2012. The last time they gouged and charged that price for fuel it collapsed the economy and caused a recession, next time it will be worse !
Start saving for your cars,it seems they will be arriving just at the time,we need them the most. I only wish I could afford a couple more ! CONGRATS TO ALL THE OTHER OWNERS ! I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO THE FINAL CAR THAT ROLLS OFF THE PRODUCTION LINE !

Hi Fellow Reservation holders!

I've been away from the forum for a couple months, but I'm glad to see this thread started. I'm from North Carolina, and on a trip to visit my in-laws in San Jose, I drove up to Menlo Park and put my res. down in July. My number is p2234. My email was dated July 20th.

ColinBowern | January 4, 2011

Added my name to the reservation list on the weekend. Looking forward to hearing from the Tesla folks soon for my reservation number.

Keith_Rettig | January 4, 2011

Just (2011.01.04) got my reservation number! #2802
Live in Redmond, WA; and no, I do not work at MSFT.

Paid on December 24; my winter solstice gift.

Rumor has it the Seattle store will have a Model S for viewing this summer. That would be cool; a good delayed gratification booster.

ColinBowern | January 5, 2011

Numbering must work a bit different here in Canada, but mine just came in as general production reservation #123. Sounds like a lucky number to me! :D

michiganmodels | January 5, 2011

I reserved my second (yes, 2nd) General production Model S on January 3, 2011, and I received the email today, January 5, 2011 stating "Your sequence number is 2,826 of the General Production (P) reservation list." My first sequence number is 2,020, which was reserved on June 8, 2010. Does anyone know if the Signature Series is a separate sequencing (I don't want to reseved a 3rd Model S to find out)? Stated differently, are there 2,826 Model S General reservations and "x" Model S Signature reservations?

Like all of you, 2012 can't come soon enough for me.

Owner# 2,020 & 2,826

Maestrokneer | January 5, 2011

Hello all,

Proud new Model S reservation holder here located in Oakland, CA. Excited to have my car built just a few miles away from my home. Brings new meaning to "buy local".

I placed my reservation last weekend on Jan. 1st, and got my official notice today. My production number is p2,821.

Perhaps we should plan a Bay Area Model S holiday party for all the new car owners at the end of 2012. We'll cruise the streets of San Francisco in a grand silent parade. :-)

Roblab | January 5, 2011

I'm all for a San Francisco Bay Area get together in 2012. I live in Napa Valley and consider myself "bay".

Model S Signature Series is numbered separately from Model S R (Roadster) series, both of which are supposedly to be delivered before the general production run of P series. Before them is a nebulous group of special interest people such as CEOs, founders, high level Tesla employees, etc. There are over a hundred Sig Series orders; I have seen a post from a #121 or so.

I hope to see one of the Model S alpha builds at the NAIAS in a couple weeks.

michiganmodels | January 5, 2011

Roblab- Thanks for the info. I live in Metro-Detroit, and will be attending the NAIAS. I'll post an update if there are any new or interesting developments. Does anyone know if we can post video or images on this message board? I'm assuming we can't.

ckessel | January 5, 2011

#2840 in Portland, OR. I may consider upgrading to the Signature reservation if I can get enough cash together in the next few months.

Andyro | January 5, 2011

Amos | January 6, 2011

Hello. After seeing this thread I went off to hunt down my reservation number and discovered that I was #P297. I reserved right away at the end of March 2009 and am in Canada, so given the numbers posted in here, I figured there must have been a mix-up. Sure enough, my US #P297 has now been changed into a Canadian #P9. Hopefully that is useful to the number crunchers. :)

joesontesla | January 7, 2011

hi Amos are you from amos québec canada? if its the case can we contact to get different color. it can be very frustrating to get a expensive car in a small town and see a identical car a week later for many year. i got number p 119 canada.

Brian H | January 7, 2011

That site is for registered owners only; I can't see it.

Volker.Berlin | January 7, 2011

@Brian H: Yes, that's true, but you don't miss anything. The protected forum thread merely provides information on how to enter yourself into the map. The map itself is public.

Tesla Owners Map (public)

How to put yourself into that map, if you are a registered owner:

Bosko | January 7, 2011

My reservation number is P1734. I made my reservation in March of 2010

ckessel | January 9, 2011

Augh! The wait on this is going to kill me. 12-18 months to go. I'll be crushed if this doesn't happen for some reason. I've never been so excited about a car.

cablechewer | January 10, 2011

I was told I am P125 for Canada, but I still need to send them the final paperwork. I was planing to do it today, but my office closed unexpectedly.

Discoducky | January 10, 2011

Seattle, WA #2842 Didn't get a jacket though, guess you need to reserve at a dealership to get the jacket? No worries, I live in Seattle so I have several jackets :)

Ty | January 12, 2011

Canadian P35. From Vancouver, BC. Made reservation 05JUN09 in person at Menlo Park store. Was just told by Dan today that it will probably be about 6 months after release in US before we get it here in Canada :-(

Tim10 | January 12, 2011

6 months later... I was hoping that would not be the case however I preparing myself for upto a year. Can't believe it may end up being a 4 year wait after putting a deposit down.

Douglas3 | January 12, 2011

Can't say I'm surprised at all; they have to concentrate on the key US market first, and some extra work is required for Canadian certification. But it is a little disappoining.
