not a model s in fire video photo and video do not match

in looking at these video and photo being promoted by jaconik i see a number of differences when comparing the two. in addition the video vehicle does not look like a model s. comparisons: 1. video vehicle is flat on ground vs. photo vehicle is elevated on a guardrail (no guardrail in video) 2. passenger door is closed in video. 3. back end of video car looks long from bottom of window to rear end. 4. tail lights look different. tell me what you think.

Dude, seriously? Either you are the Mother of All Trolls or seriously, uh, thick.

soloband | October 29, 2013

dude? you are hilarious, do you even know what a troll or a question is dude?

Thomas N. | October 29, 2013

No. Please regale me with the nuances of each, good sir.

ecarfan | October 29, 2013

The white car in the video is obviously a Model S.

Brian H | October 29, 2013

Two separate cars and incidents.
Date 1: Patrick George Car-B-Que 10/03/13
Date 2: Patrick George Tesla 10/28/13

25 days apart.

Captain_Zap | October 29, 2013

Thanks Brian. It looked like the situation of the car didn't match the video.

“We were able to contact the driver quickly and are pleased that he is safe. This was a significant accident where the car was traveling at such a high speed that it smashed through a concrete wall and then hit a large tree, yet the driver walked away from the car with no permanent injury. He is appreciative of the safety and performance of the car and has asked if we can expedite delivery of his next Model S.”

Headline: "Tesla selling cars to drunks!"

negarholger | October 29, 2013

An even better headline: "Tesla is expediting cars to drunks"...

Docrob | October 30, 2013

Gotta say the precedent of Tesla giving special preference to a driver who crashed his car whilst intoxicated and speeding and fled the scene is a little worrying.

chrisdl | October 30, 2013

It doesn't say anywhere that Tesla is actually giving preference to this person, right?
It just says that the person ASKED if the next delivery could be expedited. You can ask, but that doesn't mean that you'll get.

Docrob | October 30, 2013

Can't imagine the Tesla reps would be emphasising it unless they had some intention of facilitating it.

Car t man | October 30, 2013

Tesla isn't giving preference, just wanted to be able to show asap that the owner gets he was saved by the car and isn't bashing it but endorsing it.

Captain_Zap | October 30, 2013

Innocent until proven guilty they say.

rdalcanto | October 30, 2013

Who flees the scene of their accident at 4am unless they need to detox first...?

Docrob | October 30, 2013

Join the back of the queue unless you can prove that there was a mechanical error or you were not at fault in the accident I say. The Tesla waiting list is not the US criminal justice system and they can set whatever burden of proof they want.

Captain_Zap | October 30, 2013

I can think of plenty of reasons. Don't get me started! ;-)

We have already been through Yetis, pinatas, Elephants (African, Asian and Pink)...

jbunn | October 30, 2013

Oh my god. When I read "Car-B-Que", I laughed so hard I started choking on my own saliva. Would someone call for help please?

wcalvin | October 30, 2013

Many comments having nothing to do with what OP asks.

Yes, I too was worried about the match of the Google Street to the video. Perhaps someone else could try, using other points of view.

Brian H | October 30, 2013

What's the US waiting period currently? Is the Europush stretching it a lot?
