hey guys I'm just wondering if anyone can explain this to me as this question has been on my mind for quite some time and I can't figure it out.
the P85 has a 85kw/h battery and is good for 265 miles and the motor has an output of 310kw/416HP. Hypothetically speaking if they were to make a Model S with a 155kw/208HP motor(half of the current output) and still using the same 85kw/h battery would that mean you would have double the range (530 miles) ?
I know aerodynamics, drag, weight, hills, ect all come into effect but I'm just talking in a perfect world so I can understand how consumption works.
if the motor only had half the output wouldn't you only need half the battery to do the same thing?
