After watched the Netflix documentary Apex about hypercars I found that I really like this guy. Unlike those pretentious and snobbish "suits" in other hypercar companies he's a very down to earth enthusiastic engineer. I even saw some Elon in his facial expressions when he was talking about his cars. I do hope he succeed in what his does.

And he's reported a Tesla fan too and have said some nice things about Tesla including this one. In a scene in the film there were two cars parked outside his main facility. One looked like some old beat up whatever and the other was a white Model S.

@jjgunn Maybe you could move this to the general forum. There are more people there who might be interested in this too.

Look I like Koenigsegg and the cars they make, but didn't they just copy Tesla's "linear acceleration" with their new model? Imagine an electric car company coming out with technology that a GAS car company adopts years later, heh

Also it's hilarious how Koenigsegg's thought process works.
I just Love seeing quotes like: "We thought, ‘this is not OK’. We wondered whether it was possible, and yeah, it’s possible. Then we thought, ‘OK how do we deal with it? This is embarrassing"..
and then in the same article: "The simplest way of putting it is like this: it’s combining direct drive, with the hybridisation we have in a different format with freevalve engine technology, in a peculiar layout."

OR, you could just make an electric car, which would be superior in every measurable metric that exists... apparently kicking and screaming but we'll wait for you guys to catch up ;)

The combustion engine engineers are probably highly regarded and have lots of cloud at Koenigsegg...
