Supercharger Locations (existing/planned) - CONFIRMED - not rumored or speculated…

My intention with this thread to is offer confirmed (evidence based) information on existing and new supercharger locations. There are plenty of other threads offering speculation…

update - Dec. 19th, 2013
---------------------
lots has changed since this post was originally started - I recommend looking at any of the other excellent posts that have taken up this quest…

this thread however should still be dedicated to factual tracking of potential/newly functional SC sites…

thranx | November 8, 2013

@Darmok; Holbrook-Farmington+ = Elon's Spring break route?

hillcountryfun | November 8, 2013

That's what Cottonwood on TMC thinks...

Blueshift | November 8, 2013

I have added the 2nd North Carolina supercharger (Rocky Mount) to the adjustable range map:

http://www.teslawiki.net/supercharger/

Is is now possible to right-click anywhere on the map and add a custom marker. Add a marker for "my house", for example, and then adjust the range circle around your house.

Tâm | November 8, 2013

Sorry that I haven't been able to keep track of this thread with more than 1,050 messages, so this may be a repeat:

Mitchell, SD which is the first in this state, then Rapid City later.

It connects Boston to Seattle along Interstate 90.

Timeline: 3 weeks of construction.

Charging Bays: 6.

One completion and two initiations. Cool! Anybody planning to go to ribbon cutting in NC? Might get first hand information on prospects of North-South corridor timing along East Cost.

Benz | November 9, 2013

@Tam

Great news. Thanks for posting.

@Al1

"Anybody planning to go to ribbon cutting in NC? Might get first hand information on prospects of North-South corridor timing along East Cost."

Yes, that would be nice.

SamO | November 9, 2013

Great catch Tam

thranx | November 9, 2013

Nice pic, Tam. Workers dressed for the local weather.

DSurber | November 9, 2013

If there were any doubts that this location in Vacaville is for a Supercharger, feast your eyes on these.

Installing a Superchargers does make a bit of a mess.

The crew was hard at work this Saturday morning. They'd like to be home for Thanksgiving, but no promises.

Benz | November 9, 2013

@D Surber

Awesome photo's, thanks for posting them.

hammy16 | November 9, 2013

do you have a good gps location or tagged to an address so it can added to the detail map?
Cannot quite read the local store signs..

CalDreamin | November 9, 2013

The Vacaville SC is here
38.366592, -121.958156

hammy16 | November 9, 2013

Great will be good to see Vacaville added on the detail map. Roseville next. Will make the Bay Area/Reno/Tahoe trip a breeze. Roseville next. Interesting that the Rocklin service center is in the next town up 80

hsadler | November 9, 2013

Thought Roseville was going to be a Store with minimal Supercharging ability.

Blueshift | November 9, 2013

Ok, thanks for the coordinates, added Vacaville, CA.

http://www.teslawiki.net/supercharger/

California's 12th supercharger.

SamO | November 9, 2013

@blueshift,

Want to add Mitchell, SD?

Brian H | November 9, 2013

Some of the best "in process" photos yet. Mercy buckets.

skymaster | November 9, 2013

Besides Mitchell and Rapid City SD, keep your eyes open for of all places, Lusk, WY.

Brian H | November 9, 2013

Purty close to the geographical center of the US! Let's hear it for Lusk!

thranx | November 10, 2013

Elon Lusk?

omarsultan.ca.us | November 10, 2013

@DSurber - thanks for the updates.

Wonder if it will be up by Thanksgiving? My I-don't-want-a-Tesla wife does not want to take the ICE to go see her folks on Healdsburg. :)

O

thranx | November 10, 2013

Lusk, WY - Rapid City, SD = 149 miles. But Lusk still seems an odd choice.

pdx4s | November 10, 2013

DSurber thank you for the awesome pics, they could make it by then, q. is if elec. util. co. will cooperate with them to make it happen, but we are optimistic :-)

unclegeek | November 10, 2013

You can add the Quartzsite location in Arizona.. opens Tuesday.

Earl and Nagin ... | November 10, 2013

Lusk, Wy seems like a great midpoint between Cheyenne and Rapid City for the drive northwest from Denver. I guess Elon will make it to the Black Hills from LA after all.
Remember Californians, it gets very cold and messy in those parts so putting Superchargers every 150 miles makes sense if you might end up slogging through deep snow with your defroster running full bore.

Blueshift | November 10, 2013

I guessed the lat/lon coordinates for Mitchell, SD based on the pictures.

http://www.teslawiki.net/supercharger/

Benz | November 11, 2013

@Blue Shift

You have posted 2 Supercharger stations which are under construction:
Quartzsite, AZ
Mitchell, SD

But there are more Supercharger stations which are under construction as well. Can you add them on your map as well? Thanks

Sgt Barone | November 11, 2013

Gila Bend, AZ is under construction! Thanks to napabill on TMC.

Blueshift | November 11, 2013

Sure, post any confirmed lat/lon coordinates here, for under construction sites, and I'll add them to the zoomable map.

kk7p | November 11, 2013

The Carl's Jr location in Gila Bend AZ is shown as 32.943852,-112.733536 in Google Maps.

William9 | November 11, 2013

From Araxara on the TMC:
"I did a little web searching (I'm shy) and found out that all the 50+ Arizona Carl's Jr. restaurant are owned by a franchise group called MJKL Enterprises, LLC. They also own a bunch of other restaurants. So, I would say that if there is a deal with the AZ Carl's Jr., then there are a lot of potential locations."

My responses:
I called MJKL Enterprises this morning and left a call-back number. There are Carls Jr locations in Buckeye, Goodyear, Gila Bend, Casa Grande and Eloy, all perfect locations. We'll see if they call back and are forthcoming.

Got a call back. Confirmed Gila bend under construction. Buckeye & KINGMAN next.

When I called MJKL Enterprises this morning I left a message for Jason LeVecke listed as the CEO. The callback was from someone who identified herself as Joanne LaVecke, Jason's sister. And a Margaret LaVecke is listed as President. Real family affair. In any event, she was very forthcoming, and sounded like they have bunches of these to do. I'm thinking someone up in the Gaudalupe/Tempe (you there Jomo25?) area should call and offer to take them out for coffee or lunch. Could get some good info. And Joanne LaVecke couldn't have been nicer.

Kleist | November 11, 2013

@William9 - you consider yourself shy? Awesome info. Thanks.

Blueshift | November 11, 2013

That makes two confirmed under constructino in AZ: http://www.teslawiki.net/supercharger/

rsusi | November 12, 2013

Rocky Mount NC super charger is open. Used it on 11 Nov.

Alex K | November 12, 2013

@Kleist | NOVEMBER 11, 2013: @William9 - you consider yourself shy?

No, he was quoting me! He had asked that I go ask the people at the Carl's Jr. in Holbrook, when I'm up there this week, about who the franchisee for Carl's Jr. is.

SamO | November 12, 2013

Bump

Earl and Nagin ... | November 12, 2013

Per Cheyenne, WY city planning:
New supercharger in Cheyenne at:
Frontier Mall
1400 Dell Range Blvd, Cheyenne, WY
The plans were submitted last month and approved last week.  The charge station will be located behind Chipotle and Olive Garden at the Mall.
The permits have been issued

SamO | November 12, 2013

Great catch @E&A!

Darmok | November 12, 2013

Great news on Kingman. There are two Carl's Juniors there, the one that makes more sense is probably the Stockton Rd. location, which is near more things to do, at least relatively speaking. It's less than 1/4 mile north of I-40 and a short walk from the much better burgers at In N Out.

Kingman will make the PHX-LV trip pretty easy in an 85 and doable for the adventurous 60 owner (me included). Adding a location in Wickenburg would just make the trip that much better.

Azdcmoney | November 12, 2013

Tesla sent out a ribbon cutting invite for Thursday 10:00 am for the quartzite station

reitmanr | November 12, 2013

The Gilroy expansion seems to be on hold. I was there last night and it looks like they are waiting for the transformers etc. I am guessing it is not a high priority item compared to new sites. I have seen that many people use Gilroy on a daily basis for their commutes to San Francisco and elsewhere where some distance is involved. Money saving? Or they just don't have a charge facility at home. Not sure. Oh well. Patience is a virtue, right?

djm12 | November 13, 2013

It's awesome to see pictures of the sites under construction!

Benz | November 14, 2013

Does anyone know how far they have come with the construction at the Huntsville, Texas Supercharger site? It's been a while since construction started there. An update would be nice.

tes-s | November 14, 2013

"The plans were submitted last month and approved last week. The charge station will be located behind Chipotle and Olive Garden at the Mall.
The permits have been issued"

That is good info. I never realized how long the lead times were, and how difficult and time consuming the regulatory process is for getting Superchargers approved.

Benz | November 14, 2013

@tes-s

Now we all know it.

By the way, lots of construction going on these days at new Supercharger locations.

Yeah, that's great.

rbgliny | November 14, 2013

I have heard that there will be a supercharger at the SC in Syosset, NY when it opens sometime in the next month or two. Asked if it would be public or in the SC but they did not know at the time. Heard this just a few days ago.

Nicoletta | November 14, 2013

Also I read on one of these threads that the Corsicana, TX SC is already operational and the ribbon cutting will be next Tuesday. I hope that's true.

Whalensouth | November 14, 2013

Huntsville should be open in ten days, i spoke with the contractors who just finished the Corsicana supercharger yesterday. Corsicana is operational, official opening next Tuesday.

hillcountryfun | November 14, 2013

Whalensouth:

Great! Just in time for Thanksgiving travel!

tes-s | November 14, 2013

@Benz - yes, now we all know the facts about the how difficult and time consuming permitting is...or is not.
