terrible service abd no one to talk to for help

Since the new download I have had nothing but problems with my car.
Side view mirrors do not go back when you park even if you use the key.
The lights stay on to long.
I cannot make a call using my contact list from the IPhone, but it works with my husbands IPhone.
What a nightmare.
All the calls are routed to Salf Lake and then they cannot help you so they tell you to take the car to the service department .
I have had 3 Tesla's and this down load has ruined everything.
I need help and do not know what to do.

Have you tried going to the service center?

carlk | January 12, 2019

First thing to try is hard reboot (pushing the brake pedal while pressing steering wheel buttons for 30 seconds) with nothing plugged in USB terminals. Then go to the service center if this does not fix it. | January 12, 2019

"terrible service abd no one to talk to for help"

1) So they told you to take the car to service yet you refuse to do so. Why is this terrible service?

2) You obviously talked to Tesla and they helped you. It's really difficult for a phone operator to reach out to your car and fix your car (although it's been known to happen). Do you expect them to magically materialize new parts into your car?

This whole dialog makes little sense.

"I need help and do not know what to do."

If these trivial issues are a nightmare, I hate to suggest it, but maybe a physiatrist can help. I think your problems are beyond Tesla or the forum to help. (although +1 for carlk's excellent suggestion).

ckcland2 | January 12, 2019

Need more info, are you a Millennial?

lilbean | January 12, 2019

Haha, @ckcland2!

rxlawdude | January 12, 2019

tba on the TEA Score, but it's going up!

lilbean | January 12, 2019

I did abs today.

rxlawdude | January 12, 2019

@lil, were you skidding on the wet pavement when you did ABS?

lilbean | January 12, 2019

Bill_75D | January 12, 2019

"I hate to suggest it, but maybe a physiatrist [sic] can help."

Maybe you shouldn't have, then.

Bill_75D | January 12, 2019

Or were you referring to the OP as physically impaired?

Sorry if I read the word as psychiatrist. | January 12, 2019

Yep - spell check mangled that one. Should have been psychiatrist. I may have been too harsh, but OP feels like another drive-by FUDster that has never posted before and has disappeared.

Bighorn | January 12, 2019

Nightmare? Holy f*ck.

Bighorn | January 12, 2019

You double posted with a typo in the title. Maybe the problem is staring back at you in the mirror.

lilbean | January 12, 2019

Never underestimate the power of PMS.

rxlawdude | January 12, 2019

Anyone who writes "I have 3 Tesla's (sic)" and isn't embarrassed enough with that grammar faux pas, AND who never returns is undoubtedly a troll.

lilbean | January 12, 2019

Did you try the reboob?

NKYTA | January 12, 2019

@lil, your best one ever.

When owners have adverse experiences with Tesla is seems unhelpful for some to shoot the messenger or make fun of the owners observation.
A more prudent approach would be to cite statistics that might ( assuming it is true) show that the adverse experience is statistically unlikely.
If it is true that excuses are being made for Tesla owner relations then this harms Tesla and could lead to issues for owners that cannot see anything but perfection in Tesla.

jordanrichard | January 13, 2019

You have 3 Tesla’s which means you are not new to Tesla ownership, and you don’t know what to do..........?

Even before I took delivery of my car, I knew via this forum to do a reboot if anything got glitchy. Even the Tech support on the phone with tell you the same thing.

I am guessing you don’t a Tesla and are just creating FUD.

lilbean | January 13, 2019

Go to the gym, feel better, and take an English class to learn proper writing skills, spelling, and grammar.

ktslab | January 13, 2019

@dougk71. I don't think the OP is a real owner.

What is the formula for the TEA score? | January 13, 2019

TEA is comprised of a number of factors:
1) Outrageous claims
2) FUD
3) Poster who has never posted before
4) Poster who never returns
5) Bad grammar and spelling (although well all have those, and we understand English may be a second language for some owners)
6) Links that are spam
7) Claims they have multiple Teslas, but seen to know nothing about Tesla cars or Tesla
8) They contradict themselves in the same post
9) Idiocy
10) Clickbait style headline

I'm sure there are others... | January 13, 2019

seen -> seem maybe my post has a TEA score of 5% for a spelling error :)

Has anyone else noticed that the Tesla service centers are not available since Tesla started delivering 5000 Model 3's per week? Or is it just Bellevue, Washington? They don't answer their phone at least in the first 30 minutes. If you want to make an appointment on line the next appointment is February 5th, three weeks from now. If you can get along without your car for 3 weeks then this service level may work for you.

If you go to the service center you can wait for up to an hour because the two Service consultants are answering questions from new Model 3 owners who actually don't need service but just walked in because they like to talk about their new car.

Hopefully I did not make any spelling or punctuation errors in this post. Oh and I actually have a Model S and have owned it for 5 years. Tesla service used to be first class and now it is horrible.

Let the flaming begin.

lilbean | January 15, 2019

I agree, @g.holm, that there is a much longer delay in getting service appointments.

Silver2K | January 15, 2019

I've never heard of any of these issues being part of v9.

Are you sure you're in a Tesla???

Silver2K | January 15, 2019

G.holm, I read your post and it's fine. :)

lilbean | January 15, 2019

@Silver is not the best person to be checking for spelling errors. :) | January 15, 2019

@g.holm - Your assessment may be correct for your one service center. Sure there are a few other centers that may be loaded. Here in Northern CA, I've gotten to service easily and last appointment was less than a week (made 2 weeks ago) for a non-critical issue. Got a S loaner too. Actually, I think it's a step up from a year ago when S loaners were rare. Didn't see any owners bothering service people either, although they do have 4 sales people in the Sunnyvale location to answer questions.

So while I'm sure you are legit owner, why assume every service center is the same as yours? For that matter, perhaps it was loaded at that one time. It's annoying to make such assumptions that your one issue is the same for all 200K+ owners. It leads others to question legitimacy. Better to just state your problem and concern rather than going into theatrics. Ok, flame over.

rxlawdude | January 15, 2019

@g.holm, yes, this is indeed happening in Orange County, CA. Costa Mesa SvC is slammed, to the point they are open 7 days a week. Not sure how Buena Park is holding up, but Tesla desperately needs more SvC in the LA/OC markets.

I sent an email with an "escalate to executive office" about a Model 3 suspension retrofit and have not gotten a reply in over a week.

lilbean | January 15, 2019

I've been waiting for my 12v service since Dec 14. Crickets so I scheduled a visit then got a call for a ranger visit. So I cancelled my appointment. Still crickets.

You should try it some time!
