to tint or not to tint...

Having Xpel clear bra installed tomorrow + I'm thinking about tinting while the car is at the shop. My car is dark green P85, with dark 21 turbines + red calipers. Pros of tinting: reduced UV, privacy, cooler in the summer, and a more "menacing" look. But the car is a beauty and looks aggressive -- yet classy -- as it is w out tinting...Thoughts?

Tint...Looks way better.
The only reason to not tint is if you want everyone to see your face while you are driving around in your P85 and blowing past them off the line.

Tint - the heat rejection is very noticeable and the extra privacy is nice.

tint. you can go with a fade from front to back (lighter in front, heaver in 2nd row, heaviest in 3rd row). It looks less aggressive and still retains classy feel/look IMO.

Conversely, could use 3M crystalline 50-70 whole way around. get benefits of tint, without the blacked out look. | December 15, 2013

Tint -- if you live anywhere that gets sunny you will appreciate it - the MS has a lot of glass. If you do't want the darker color, look at something like Air Blue 80 which gives you the IR rejection.

Tint! I got mine 70%, 35%, 15% (front to back).

Yes Tint, it would look awesome. Please post a photo once done.

Tint. Go here for long discussion thread. Read all fine print from manufacturers ! I would go with Photosync if I were you.

The next day I received my S60, I had the XPEL and tint on. I never had any of my cars tinted before but I tell you it's worth it. I live in the south and for the past summer, I feel cooler when I entered my S, the feeling I never had before. I have 80 in front and back windshields along with 40 on side windows. Great investment.

I was going to tint my windows until my window regulator failed twice on rear passenger side window. Then my front passenger side window went out. I asked the Van Nuys service center if I had my windows tinted and it messed up my tint, would they repair it. They said no.

I agree with other posters, absolutely tint. I had my pearl white MS tinted a month ago and it makes the car look way better, not to mention the UV protection.

Tinted!!! Thanks guys, the car looks awesome now! went with 35% front, 20% back and it looks fantastic. I wanted to go with 3M crystaline but the shades are too light...however, I may opt to go with Crystaline for the pano roof given its heat insulation qualities. But as far as the look of the car, wow - makes the car stand out (not that it was shabby looking before...) :-)

35 front? Illegal in most jurisdictions. Too dark at night.
