update via wifi stuck at ~30%

Sorry to raise again that topic but I don't have an answer right now and I am a little puzzled.
Beginning of august, I was notified that a new software version, probably 2019.28.xxx was available for my M3. It started downloading via Wifi (though I should have a premium package) and stopped at around 40%. Now I connect to wifi from time to time (tethering my phone connection) but the download does not continue, no matter how long I wait. It says "connect to wifi to continue download" or some such, but it never restarts.
It would be nice if Tesla put a button "I am connected to wifi, go and continue the download" on the "Software" tab.
Had the same issue a few weeks back, this seemed solved at one point but re-appeared.
Well, a little frustrating, one doesn't know if this is a bug or a feature of the download process.
What is your experience ?
Cheers

I have the same problem with my Tesla 3

I believe you can get ahold of Tesla Support people and they can kind of "reset" your update and that'll likely get you going. I recall seeing other posts where an update fails or gets stuck. The Tesla guys can poke at it and get it going again.

Dirty Tesla on youtube made a video about this, you can schedule a service appointment and select software update as the service needed. Tesla will get a hold of you and push the update to your car.

I was told over the phone that I could have the Tesla mobile service come out and take a look at such a thing, or stop by the Tesla service center and connect to their WiFi network to get the update.

I believe you get a notice that a software update is ready to install only after it has been completely downloaded and verified. If there is a glitch during installation, it will freeze. @in7's advice should be followed. They need to flip a bit to allow the installation process to begin from the beginning.

I had the same problem about 2 months ago. Went to the service center parking lot and connected to their wifi signal and after 45 minutes it completed the download and let me install it.
