Wall Connector issue

Wall Connector issue

Does anyone know how to solve his problem i have with my Tesla. I have a wall connector and every time i hit the button on the wall connectors charging cable to open the charge port of the Tesla it doesn’t open? Does it open automatically or do you have to open the charging port manually?

Does anyone know the problem?

I have the same issue. It should open automatically once you press the button. The cable may be defective. If you recently had the wall connector installed, you can call them back and ask for a replacement. In the meaning I’ve been taping the charge port for it to open.

Is the car asleep? Or does this happen as soon as you get out of the car & attempt to plug it in? Just a guess.....

Do you have your FOB with you when you do this?

If the car is locked, the charge port will not open.

It was unlocked the whole time

Wait, how cold is it where you are? Occasionally the button on my charger freezes and won’t operate. If the car is unlocked, you can just lightly tap the charging door and it will open.

It’s in the garage so it’s really not that cold at all

Maybe try with the mobile connector charger. To determine if the problem is the wall connector or the charging port.

You can also manually open the port using the key fob. Press and hold the trunk section.

i would go to a super charger and push the button on their connector. If that works, the problem is your home. If it doesn't work, it's the car.

You can also try “aiming” the button at the back of the silver metal window trim. It works for me but I am not quite sure why.
