Where to stow extra luggage? On roof or behind / tow bar?

Where to stow extra luggage? On roof or behind / tow bar?

I have 4 kids and want to replace my chevy suburban with a model x - and with superchargers coming to Texas it will suffice for longer roadtrips.

Everything looks good except:
Where will I be able to store extra luggage? I worry that the Falcon wing doors take the roof out of the picture.
Similarly there seems to be doubt/confusion as to whether or not there will be a tow bar to attach something like this:

For this to really work as a versatile family vehicle I would recommend a tow bar where you can add an attachment to help with light weight additional luggage, maybe small bikes, etc. I have no plans to tow a sailboat or 4 wheeler - just some extra stuff which won't fit into the car itself.

Can I get some feedback on this question? I'm sure there are many other potential buyers like me wondering the same.

Maybe Tesla should create a trailer that also integrates an extended range battery.

In the frunk of course!

Extended range, minus the huge drag-hit equals ... nada.

Don't think the X is the right solution for your needs.

Whether it suits depends on the common use and the exceptions. What distances are being spoken about, how commonly they need a trailer, etc. Will they have the range with a trailer to get between superchargers.

That's assuming it pulls the trailer at all of course. Might be best to wait for more details :)

I believe the Model X will come with a built in trailer hitch receiver to help accommodate a bike rack. As such you will be able to attach the basket. My guess however is that you would rarely need something like that because of the extra space in the frunk.
