Who's on Slacker? Simple pleasures...

apparently they have more than music - they also have quite the comedy collection…

"play who's on first by Abott and Costello" and it yielded the bit - I was amused and impressed and the kids in the back seat thought it was wonderful.

what a treat!

Slacker is great, but I can't figure how to sync with my computer account. Is this possible ?

@dortor

Slacker must have some featured or built-in tracks. "Who's on first" was easy to find, and seemed to have the little Slacker logo down in the lower right of the App. I tried a very funny Bob & Ray piece ("Slow Talkers of America") but it couldn't be found. Maybe it is not on a commercially available record.

Re-discovering George Carlin, what a clever wit!

As you listen to Carlin, keep in mind that he was actually a genocidal misanthrope, who wanted humankind expunged from the face of Gaia.

This past weekend, my youngest son wanted to here the theme song from Toy Story (You've Got A Friend In Me by Randy Newman)...So, I used the Voice Command and said "Play Toy Story Theme"...And one of the options listed turned out to be 20-minute long audio book of Toy Story, with snippets of actual voice dialog straight from the film. Needles to say, my 6-year-old was thrilled :) The "album cover" said it was a Disney "Story & Songs" although it didn't have any songs. Still, I will be checking to see if there are any more audio book like the Disney Stories & Song Toy Story :)

I'm a fan of Brian Regan but unfortunately Slacker doesn't have a parental control so I can't listen with the kids because of the other comedians that come with. That's a feature that Pandora has that would be nice with Slacker.
