Roof rack on Model X, easy. Just program one side of falcon wing doors to remain shut and mount the rack on that side. Call it "rack mode". One side ought to be large enough on the roof.

Sorry. Beat you to it but good idea.

You got it, george.

Say, what would the available roof dimension be on one side of the Model X?

I'm thinking of these: http://www.seasucker.com/product-category/bike-racks/

Clever idea. I like the tiny vacuum pumps. My experience with suction cups has been mixed, probably due to incompetence. Best results have been with long pole unscrewing light bulbs 6 feet above my head. Scary.

I think you have a little more than half the width of the car available. As an approximation use the width of the MS as a guide.

Either one locks the affected door or relies on sensors to inhibit operation.

A falcon flapping one wing will just go in circles.

Here's a solution for the Model X Roof Box plus a Hitch Box giving loads of storage for the Model X.
