I have seen a few posts about the speakers on the A pillars and the top speakers on the front doors not working. I checked my SR+ and confirmed that there is no sound coming through mine. I put my ears right up against them and didn't head anything.
I have immersive sound turned on and frankly I can't tell a difference when it is on or off. I'm not sure if there's a certain audio file type that's required for it to work, but I only stream music through my phone. Either way, turning on immersive sound doesn't activate the speakers mentioned above.
While the feature list on partial premium interior only states "upgraded audio - immersive sound," it doesn't state the exact number of speakers that will be used. I wish there is an official statement on this. If the speakers are disabled via software, then they should be able to enable them with an update.
I don't know why they would include the speakers if they aren't going to turn them on. Maybe Tesla plans on upselling SR+ with a "upgraded audio+" later. Or maybe this is just an issue I'm facing.
Is anyone else experiencing the same thing? I would hate for this to be looked over by Tesla employees (although I sure they are aware)
