It tells us that the Model 3 isn't available there yet.
Oh and that Norway is awesome.

Come back in 2019. In the mean time, yawn.

Shock | 14 février 2018

Norway sells a lot of EVs because they have used heavy regulation to discourage purchase of gas cars. Vehicles there are comically expensive, too.

dyefrog | 14 février 2018

I'm surprised that there will be any Model 3's delivered to Norway this year. This may be wishful thinking.

mntlvr23 | 14 février 2018

lol - how could Norway have 1,000 Model 3 sales?
It most certainly is at, or near, zero.
Norway is awesome though

dyefrog | 14 février 2018

My daughter just returned last week from a trip over there visiting a FES we sponsored about 10 years ago. She still visits us every few years and LOVES America. Anyway, my daughter commented about how many Tesla's she saw over there. We're in upstate NY so there's not a whole lot of them here. Oh and yes, it's awesome. She said the best was driving a dog sled and the Aurora Borealis.

andy.connor.e | 14 février 2018

@dyefrog

What do you mean by "upstate NY"

dyefrog | 14 février 2018

Just down Rt. 9 from you. Live in Nisky, work in CP. play in Saratoga

andy.connor.e | 14 février 2018

nice, wonder when we'll get our M3's. Wonder when we'll see one too!

dyefrog | 14 février 2018

I contacted Tesla about 3 years ago thumping for a gallery in Saratoga but they already had their allotted 5 in the state. Now with the Hamilton one gone and the push in legislation to open the doors, there's a chance. There's a Tesla destination charger behind the Auto Museum at the Saratoga Park where they've done the demo drives.
Did you get the petition?

If you haven't already, I suggest signing up on the https://www.facebook. com/groups/CapitalDistrictEVDrivers/permalink/757051497827601/
lot's of members waiting on theirs too.

andy.connor.e | 14 février 2018

I signed the petition that Tesla emailed me about. I just added my name to that one as well. I dont want to have to drive down to Mt. Kisco for a service. I will be using the superchargers at the Colony Center by the mall alot. Unless they install a destination charger in my complex.

krissu | 14 février 2018

Midel S and X sales in this prediction seem to be really low.

gavinmcc | 14 février 2018

Norway prefers hatchbacks...hence Kona and Leaf numbers.

Tesla hatch in 2020 will do well in Norway...

andy.connor.e | 14 février 2018

In 2020, you can put a reservation for Model Y to hopefully get it in 2023.

gavinmcc | 14 février 2018

:) I stand corrected.

G

gavinmcc | 14 février 2018

addendum: I must be part Norwegian, as I too much prefer a hatch to a sedan. I really wanted to check out the Niro EV and Kona EV, but by those numbers it looks like Norway will get all of the 2018 models...

Yeah, I lot of people were hoping for the Tesla 3 to be a hatch but it was not to be. It's still the best sub $50K EV out there.

bernard.holbrook | February 14, 2018 "Yeah, I lot of people were hoping for the Tesla 3 to be a hatch but it was not to be. It's still the best sub $50K EV out there."

Except it's not out there at sub $50k. The sub $50k version may be ready in a year - Tesla tells me 'early 2019', though I reserved nearly 2 years ago. Everything Tesla has sold to date is $50 or more.

As of today, and for the next several months, the best sub $50k EV actually "out there" is still the Chevy Bolt.

Well, the figures are only to be seen as "pre-orders", for 2018, when Model 3 arrive late Q3 2019, the overall picture will end up to be quite different !!!

FREE ENERGY | 14 février 2018

And, believe me, there are Tesla´s ALL OVER, literally, in EVERY street, its pretty amazing to witness :-)Above most Norwegians are now so well "educated" when EV´s are the issue. EV sales will be way above 50% end 2018 !

FREE ENERGY | 14 février 2018

Model 3 pre-order done 31 March 2016 done :-) 4WD, air suspension, Long Range battery, Midnight Silver, 100% top spec when configurator is in full operation :-)
