My least favorite part of my awesomely wonderful red Model S is the cheap black plastic nose cone that Tesla chose. I feel like that is the one part of the car that they missed out on.
I had the idea to have it wrapped in a matte black vinyl and today I had that done and it looks even better than I thought it would. Even my wife agrees that it looks much nicer and it makes the chrome pop and stand out much more and simply doesn't look "cheap" anymore. I considered doing a dark gray matte, but since the rest of the plastic parts are black, I chose to stick with black. If this forum wasn't do difficult to use, I would post a picture, but take my word for it, it looks much better. It cost about $150 and should last several years according to te shop that did it, then it would be easy to replace again when desired, or the plastic underneath will be in perfect shape if I just want to peel it off. I thought others might also find this as a nice simple upgrade.
