Since Teslas charges its 12V battery from the main car battery pack and don't rely on an alternator like ICE do, does it effectively mean the 12v battery will never run out (up to the useful life of the 12V battery itself)?
I want to add a dual channel dashcam to our Model 3, and if the 12V battery will never run out, I'm thinking I might as well have it recording 24/7. Powering a little 5v USB device off the giant Model 3 battery pack should be enough to run it for many years right lol? Or is it not that simple?
