Why in Australia? Just how big of a market does MB have in Australia?

brando | 15 juillet 2016

2/3 the size of Canada

Perhaps AUS is a good low population proving ground.
Powerwall launched here too.

Meh. Daimler divested in TSLA once they realized Elon would never allow Tesla Motors' technology to be used in hybrid cars, I believe. Same with Toyota and their HFCEVs.

It's good MB is moving in this direction. A bit slow, but hybrids are better than ICE. I'd like to see more EVs by MB, but I'm sure there is a lot of internal politics slowing progress.

Don't forget that Tesla provided the battery and drivetrain for both MB B Class and & Toyota's SUV. Once Tesla became a significant competitor in the luxury category, perhaps MB/Toyota concluded the would be better on their own. I think Tesla still works with MB and some parts in Tesla's come from MB's suppliers that were designed by MB (the stalks come to mind).

How does that help to accomplish more green environment?

I am certain that 'greenest' is better than 'more green'.

Stopgap babystep dragass maneuvers help nothing whatsoever at this juncture.
