Ways to play a CD in the tesla

Has anyone found a way to play a CD audiobook in the Tesla Model S, as there is no CD player?

"I converted about 2500 mp3s to FLAC and put them on a USB. . ."

-----------------------------

I suspect you intended FLACs to mp3.

If not FLAC to mp3, there is no need to convert from FLAC because Tesla's audio system reads FLACs just fine.

If you did I convert mp3s to FLAC, there is no value. The mp3s had lost the lossless nature of the FLAC files, and that cannot be restored.

Store the audiobook or songs on USB flash drive. I think the best audio format to be converted to should be MP3. And for audiobook, the smaller size it converts, the more audiobooks could be stored on USB drive.

I need a cassette deck to plug my Discman in.

Maybe you can try to convert CD audiobook to Tesla compatible format that can play in Tesla with the help of AudFree Audio Converter from https://www.audfree.com/drm-audio-converter-win
It can convert audiobooks to MP3, FLAC, WAV, AAC, M4A and M4B with ease. Hope this can help you well.

I listen to Audio CDs, too. Would rather not have to burn the data onto a USB stick (is that even legal??). Bought a USB DVD/CD player, plugged it into one of my Model 3's USB ports, but the car didn't recognize the USB audio source. I returned the CD player - is there a feature I need to look for in a DVD/CD player that will ensure it will be recognized as an audio source when plugged into one of the Tesla USB ports?

So I burned some songs from my CD into the USB stick but it wont play!
They are in MP4 files...
The funny thing is, the songs I downloaded online in MP4 files they play fine...

Anyone has idea?

They need to be mp3 files. Mp4 is a video format.

Were they downloaded from Apple? They are probably M4P files which is an Apple DRM protected format which the car can't play because there is no provision to include the license files.
